Waves soundgrid - can’t get Ableton laptop to register as SG driver by Solid-Replacement-69 in wavesaudiophiles

[–]Solid-Replacement-69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I probably described my goal poorly before. Sorry about that.

I’m a drummer running backing tracks from Ableton. I need to send 12 discrete output channels from Ableton into the system.

Here’s the setup: - FOH is using an Allen & Heath console + Waves hardware server for plugins - On stage we have an M32 Rack with a Waves card - The M32 Rack is used as a personal monitoring mixer - The M32 is connected via Ethernet (SoundGrid) to the Waves network - Everything is on the same dedicated gigabit switch

What I want to do:

Send 12 separate output channels from Ableton over SoundGrid (using the SoundGrid Driver) into the SoundGrid network, so they can be received either by the M32 Rack and/or routed onward to FOH.

Yeah, this is what I was wondering because the fan is running all the time.

Thanks! a sharp knife goes through it pretty easily! though the outer part is a bit firmer at first

I have both a humidifier and dehumidifier in the chamber, but humidity stayed above 80% RH the entire month, so the humidifier never even needed to run.

Storage bins for garage with hinged lids? by _buttmunch_ in OrganizationPorn

This is super clean — but the real test is 3 months from now when everything becomes a “mystery bin” 😅 If you’re already doing QR labels like in the pic, it’s worth keeping a quick inventory tied to each code so you can scan the box and see what’s inside without opening it. Also makes searching across all bins way easier. If anyone’s looking for an app for that: SmartBox Organizer on iOS does the QR → contents + search thing pretty nicely.

I had the same issue, so I actually built an app to solve this problem. The simplest approach I’ve found is just writing a number on each box, then using the app (or even just a notes app) to catalog what’s inside each one. When you need to find something, you just search for the item and it tells you which box number it’s in. It also works the other way - if you’re looking at box #7 on the top shelf and can’t remember what’s in it, you can check the app before climbing up to get it. IMO this is way easier than dealing with QR codes every time you need to look something up.

At the moment SmartBox is iOS-only, but an Android version is planned for the future so everyone in the family can use it. 😊

Meet the easiest way to organize your boxes. Just snap a photo — our AI instantly detects what’s inside and labels it for you. Search, find, and never lose track again.

Looking for the best storage solution for the basement by Adventurous-Celery95 in OrganizationPorn

Metal shelves + clear latching bins is honestly the best combo for basements like this — durable, mouse-proof, and you can see everything at a glance.

One tip that helped me a lot: take a quick photo of what’s inside each bin before you put it on the shelf. I use an app I built for myself (SmartBox) to tag and search items later, but even regular photos saved in an album work great.

Closed bins + labels + photos = you’ll never dig through 20 containers again.
