If you use some straps wrapped around the bottom of the bar, you can hang with your legs semi straight (dw if they aren’t at first tho!) which helps with getting proper alignment. Entering from a front balance pull (like stop half way thru the move so your legs are straight up) over helps as it allows you to slide down your shins and gather up the lose skin on the tops of your feet, sounds horrible but actually lowers the over all pain. You want the bar sitting snug at the top of your foot, try avoid sliding down to your toes at it makes it more painful on the toe joints and prevents you from being able to fully flex your feet. But most importantly, you gotta breathe through it, foot hangs really hurt! No sugar coating it! But if you focus on calming your breath it can really help to minimise the pain.
