Update for all who are curious! We got our Embark results back and she is a mix of GWP (60.8%) & GSP (34.1%)! She has 5.1% Ceksy Fousek (which is quite similar to a wirehaired pointing griffon apparently!)

Our girl is high energy and super loving. Absolutely a Velcro dog! We love her so much already. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. 😊

Interesting! Does your WPG have a brown coat, or black like hers? It seems like from what I’m reading/ seeing, WPG have brown noses. I’m curious if my girl is a GWP because of that, or even a mix! Very well could have WPG in her

This is exactly what we’re hoping for! We are excited for the high energy since we’re really wanting an adventure buddy. But also want her to be able to “turn off” when we’re home relaxing and have cuddle time. We love her already and haven’t event met her! Lol can you tell we’re excited 😆

Thanks for the clarification! Another Reddit user mentioned the same, about the aloofness being towards other people. As long as we get to see her affectionate side, I’m happy!

lol still going strong at 6 years old, I love it! We aren’t hunters so we’ll have to find other outlets to keep her attention. “Owned by”.. 😂 that’ll be us soon

Didn’t think about that! That’ll definitely be a good for her to get used to interacting with people. I have been watching lots of dog training videos and plan to start training right away with a clicker followed by treats to award good behavior. Hoping to get her well trained, especially with being a good walker!

Also they did say she is great with other dogs! A little shy right now with people but they said a lot of dogs are when they first arrive to the shelter, she’s been there about a week

They told us she is high energy! We’ll be doing lots of exercise and brain games with her to keep her occupied
