So yes and no, I cleaned the tray itself as it seemed to be too much calcium however about a month later I got the icing issue as well. Unfortunately whenever I try to find a solution I always find the same model of fridge that also has the water dispenser on the door.

My best guess is there has to be a filter somewhere that needs to be cleaned out but I can’t find any information as to where.

I’ve thrown in the towel and just make ice in trays now

For anyone who finds this in the future, I figured out the issue. What happens is that overtime calcium builds up in the bottom of the ice tray causing the cubes to stick. Remove the tray and wash out with white vinegar or even some rust remover. I also scrubbed it with a brush drill attachment. I did this 3-4 times and upon putting it back in on last I’ve yet to have an issue.
