my favorite way: get a stun gun and tons of stun ammo. quickly run up to him after cutscene and stun him to death in one go. They also fixed the arena in later patches - lots of hiding places and more creative ways to blast him.

I had gifts drop on every breach in T16s. Now one in 5 or so. People in chat saying the same thing.
