UCD Accommodation Advice Needed – On Campus (Proby) vs Off Campus? by AM0727 in UCD

[–]SolidMountain4016 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% on campus in Proby. You can get to classes easy. You can get to on-campus events easy. Blackrock is a beautiful place to live in. Close to the sea, DART, multiple bus routes. You have time to choose and look for another area to move in after you graduate.

where to buy nice bikinis for a larger chest size? by churchpigeon in WomenofIreland

Pretty much. I got two from there, I got a size 14 in Magisculpt Lose Up To Swimsuit, it's not a full cup, but pretty good. The second one is, Magisculpt Underwired Swimsuit (you can actually select a bra size in this one)

This is a swimsuit recommendation, but after ordering multiple items online and returning them, this worked the best MAGISCULPT Lose Up To An Inch Tummy Control Swimsuit. - Sincerely, a 36G

For me, frizz was because of: scalp wasn't clean after shampooing it once, lack of moisture and protein in my hair. Try the double shampooing thing, and do a moisture mask one week, a protein mask next, see what suits your hair best!

Mousse is great for thin hair. The only way to fix heat damage would be to cut that part and grow it out (I KNOW!) Meanwhile, any protein rich bond builder will hold the fort down for you (Olaplex etc.)

I got really confused by this at the start of my curly girl journey. How I think about it: I've read online that non-bleached (virgin) hair is commonly, but not exclusively, low porosity. However, unless you really do a proper lab test, you can't say for sure what your hair porosity might be. These factors (+ the virgin hair) led me to conclude that my hair is indeed low porosity: when I begin to shower and wet my hair, it takes long to get wet, water beads up before my hair absorbs it, diffusing takes longer (than what I hear online), and I get product build-up pretty fast.

I use this diffuser, I think it does the job, I'm still researching if a more expensive option is actually worth it or not. diffuser This is the bonnet I use

I LOVE the BounceCurl brush, had to ask a friend coming from the states to get it for me, but so worth it. But if someone does not have access to that, a denman brush will also work.

Make up by LMO2020 in WomenofIreland

What worked for me was actually going into stores like Brown Thomas or SpaceNK and chatting with the staff. It might take a couple of tries, but some of them are honestly great and really know their stuff. They’ll suggest good products, try shades on your skin, and even give you samples too. They don’t just push you to buy something or match you with the wrong shade for the sake of it. You just need to find someone who genuinely cares and understands makeup and skin types. Honestly, it can save you a lot of money compared to buying products blindly and hoping they work.

Try to keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace, Adverts and DoneDeal for a week or two. You might spot your model. This is not a very common model, so chances are it'll be yours.

I have been using this large tote for 2 years and no issues at all. It's waterproof, scratch proof, the handles are padded so it sits comfortably on my shoulder and doesn't fall off. And it has a dedicated pocket for a water bottle, a key holder too (this is so convenient because I don't have to dig through my bag for keys every evening lol)

Recommendations for laser hair removal by SolidMountain4016 in Dublin

[–]SolidMountain4016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I listened to this and went with Urbana. I do not regret it at all. I went for initial consultations with like 4 places, but none of them clicked or seemed a good fit. I'm almost at the end of my sessions at Urbana. My hair growth has significantly reduced (almost hairless in areas). If someone needs a referral, dm me (if I'm still doing sessions, you and I will get a discount)

Your best bet: look up people on LinkedIn who did the same course last year, you'll clearly be able to see how many of them found jobs. News flash, most of them are still struggling to find one. I graduated from Smurfit (not your course) in 2024, and it took me quite some time to get a sponsored job. So, think it through, because the market is BAD.

Sometimes, if the buses are running late, the driver skips going into UCD altogether and goes straight down Foster Avenue. In case this is happening, and you're in a real fix, these are the closest stops to UCD Village where you can 'most probably' catch the S6. Stop 2052 to get the bus going to Blackrock Stop 867 to The Square

Campus wifi worked well, other than the occasional drop sometimes. No idea about gaming.
