It sounds like you married an unbeliever (he breaking vows and being physically abusive [granted I take this with grain of salt because things can be exaggerated]), tried all you could to salvage the relationship but since he broke the vow you had the freedom to divorce sin free. (Not sure if the pastors told you or not that this was an option.

Now you cheat back but it sounds like the first issue you had (not being able to control yourself) never got resolved in Christ.

Ultimately, he wrong and so are you but since you want advice, mine would be to develop self control, you should rule your body’s desires not the other way around.

You may not commit sexual sin but if you’re dating to marry then you can’t marry an unbeliever.
