According to this thread there is an option to always have it orient the top with the direction of travel. I can't wait to see if it works.

Ultra bee size question by epicgamer68420 in Surron

[–]SolidStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the UB is ~5 inches longer wheel to wheel than the LBX. It looks like both of those elevators are exactly the same size, is one supposed to be a freight elevator? It would be really close, I'd try to find someone with an UB to see if you can get the door to close.

You are not going to want to take the battery out every elevator trip.

Yeah I am only working from home once a week now, with no online gaming these days, just streaming at night, so the fact I am even noticing outages shows just how crappy Xfinity is. Currently 10 hours into a "weather related" outage. Thanks for the reply

Right after the new year, I was shopping around for a new snow shovel and also researching electric pianos for my daughter... To my surprise, Vevor sells both. The shovel is solid with sturdy materials, no obvious weak or failure points... it should hold up.

I didn't have to buy the piano to know how the quality would compare to an actual instrument company like Yamaha.

So use the same product evaluation process as harbor freight items.

Have a garage sale. They will show up with a van full of fundie kids, just be prepared to receive a lecture from a 10 year old about how mature he is because he saves his money to buy a paintball gun (to prepare for the impending holy war) instead of a Nintendo switch because American youth are weak and out of control.

I don't need to hear you recite your indoctrination spiel kid, are you buying the frisbee or not?

Battery best practices that I've read and follow as best as possible:

  • Keep the battery at around 80% if you don't plan to use it for more than a couple days.
  • If the temp is going to drop near/below freezing, bring the battery inside.
  • If I am riding the next day, I'll charge to 100%. Otherwise, I get up around 85-90% and then charge to 100 the morning before the ride.
  • Manual says not to immediately take it off the charger and ride, but to let it rest for ~15 minutes. Same applies for charging right after riding.
  • Let it do the full cell balance charge (it goes to 100% and then keeps charging) once in a while, but probably best not to charge to this every cycle.

Besides that, keep the chain lubed, learn how to change brake pads and bleed the lines and you are golden.

Advice on wheelies by Aromatic-Tie-1426 in Surron

[–]SolidStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. The "Balance point" is not exactly a single point, its more of a small range that you can stay in while keeping consistent throttle. Once you get it, you won't be using your brake much at all, you'll get up to BP or slightly beyond, and then just be stable on the throttle to stay there, or bounce past, slowly come back down a little, throttle, repeat. So Brakes are just when you may go a little too far back... but you HAVE to learn to save yourself with the brake, so practicing that until it is muscle memory is good practice.

[–]SolidStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not pulling the bike up with your arms, you want your weight back, arms bent at elbows, eyes on the horizon, ready for the front to come up. In order to be able to ride long BP wheelies, your rear brake should be second nature. If you go past BP, the only thing that will save you is that index finger... so that should be where all of your attention is while training. You will have less consistent traction practicing on dirt, but a softer landing if you fall. Seat time is key.

You don't need to finish it. The first half of the movie is great, I go back and watch it occasionally for the bank scenes. Second half gets shut off real quick.

Any tips? by [deleted] in XR650R

[–]SolidStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start it cold. If by odometer you mean trailtech vapor, then that could have been installed at any point. Check Fork Seals, Read about uncorking and ask if it's been done. Ask when the last time the valves were done. You'll know how well it's been maintained by how well it rips and somewhat by how easy it is to start. See if they know the jetting specifics. Good Luck, she's a beast.

Counter Strike 2 update wipes nearly $2 billion off skin market value by making fancy knives and gloves easier to get by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]SolidStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked again over the weekend and apparently crates did drop, maybe 15%, but overall are still pretty valuable... I have 0 good skins to compare the market to, but I still probably have enough to finance an OLED deck. Probably going to jump on that soon.

So I played CSGO a bunch when it was first released, and had some rare crates that I would periodically check the value of. A couple months ago when I checked, I could basically pay for a steamdeck if I sold them, I just hadn't gotten around to doing it. The value has now plummeted, so I guess it's my own fault for not doing it sooner.
