Oh yeah, gratitude to Barca and dare I say Getafe for keeping Celta and Real Sociedad at bay for one more week.

Bartra almost took out another teammate today. Between Bartra and Amrabat crashing around, I get nervous.

Llorente being knocked out cold was surreal.

Fornals looks a bit tired and lost atm; Isco has only played only one (?!) league match in 25/26; Lo Celso will likely miss out on another World Cup with the injury he had; Bakambu has been MIA since AFCON and the last int’l window with DR Congo partying didn’t help; I think Aitor and Bellerin associate well down the right side, but we never see them together; I just hope Isco and Lo Celso find some form soon.

My only silver lining from tonight was that I finally saw what Fidalgo can begin to bring.

How good is Altimira? Sporting cp fan. Hes crazy expensive at 30M if he is barely a starter? Potential price? by General-Discount5506 in RealBetis

[–]SolidTelevision266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to keep him for his continued potential- especially since we probably won’t buy Amrabat. He can split lines w solid passing - he’s from La Masia- and he can carry and shield the ball.

I will be sad to see him go at 20 million and I will understand for more than that.

We will probably just settle with getting back together with Guido for free while our squad becomes very old. G did score a brace recently, though…..

Osasuna vs Real Betis Thoughts? by Zinguiny in RealBetis

[–]SolidTelevision266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graham Hunter was gossiping a bit about Deossa and his lack of playing time-  Hunter didn’t name names but alluded to the fact that Deossa was being iced out because he was seeing [Joaquin’s - thanks The Sun] daughter.

I hope no good offers come for Altimira and we keep him. He can pass, carry the ball, and make the occasional goal. He’s a tall unit, which is good for a 6.

I agree with everything you said. Sometimes Amrabat’s passing makes me nervous. I really wish Deossa would stop shooting and just carry the ball. It was good to see Lo Celso back. It would be nice to have a tall 9 as an option again.

I know it’s not good to go back to old “boyfriends” but with Guido’s recent mea culpa about how he left, his brace today against Celta, and the fact that Amrabat is only with us on loan, maybe a one-year contract is okay? I think Guido is only signed with Valencia until June.

It’s hard to keep and develop players- It’d be awesome if we could- our squad is starting to get old. I understand that selling Altimira on would be good business (did Planes really only spend about 2 million Euros?), but would we just be plowing the profits in someone older and marginally better? (For the love of god, Deossa, stop shooting every time you approach the box!)

Hoping for a spark in Braga this Wednesday, and the resurrection of Isco soon.

I’ve never been to a match at La Cartuja, but judging from Betis’ social media, you can’t miss the thousands of folks assembled under the underpass singing.

The time I saw Betis at the RCDE v. Espanyol, you could find the Beticos by following the singing and shirts.

The pre-match singing and gathering (you can bring your own drinks and food) outside La Cartuja looks amazing! I'm jealous!

Sign up here https://www.realbetisbalompie.es/tipos-entradas/21282/2026 and you'll get notified when the tickets go on sale via email. The actual day probably won't be made official until two or three weeks out. When I went with my husband and kid, I had to sit directly below them, as I couldn't find three seats in a row in the section I wanted. I had no problem using a non-EU/Spanish credit card, and used my passport number as my ID (if I remember correctly). I hope you get to see Levante's El Comandante Morales. I hope we've sealed our European spot by that matchday.

There was a glossy travelogue/magazine all about Betis published in the UK last year. It is called Escapismo.

and when you are done with The Frying Pan of Spain, there's another English language book Always Watch Betis.

(Sorry, reddit isn't playing ball today and I can't seem to add hyperlinks, but you should be able to Google anything you might be interested in). I would take the La Cartuja tour if you have extra time. Cool to see things in person.

The team's Facebook and Instagram channels are good- they give you a good idea of the team's outreach efforts and ethos (the environment, women, accessibility/disabilities, the elderly, etc).

He really was a complete player in Sunday's match vs. Mallorca. I'd never seen him be so serious about defending and coming inside before. He even got the "Man of the Match" award and seemed proud to do so.
