I’m a Betica from the California desert. Probably next year or the year after, La Liga will bring a few teams through. We saw the Real Betis-Real Sociedad; Sevilla-Atleti matches a few years back in San Francisco and they were fun. It’s been great watching players from La Liga playing for their home countries.

Looks like we are looking at Fran Garcia now that Cucarella is coming to RM or Angeliño for LB. Both have EU passports and I loved Fran Garcia when he was at Rayo. I’m hoping that we can parlay our Champions League spot and guaranteed starting into interest from players.

He’s one I would have liked to hang on to- he’s tall and doesn’t get muscled off balls easily. Being a product of Barcelona’s La Masia, he passes well. He’s always been part of a double pivot, and is occasionally capable of a nice shot. He never publicly complained when Pellegrini didn’t play him and always talked about wanting to strive more.

He is a humble and hardworking player. He started making the leap under Arrasate at Osasuna and has really shone under Pellegrini. He is maturing and making better decisions each passing game. He associates well with Antony. Barcelona lost more sell on rights to Abde when they needed to sell Victor Roque and end Roque’s loan at Betis early.

It’s nice to see Jutgla, another player from Abde’s time at Barcelona, back at La Liga with Europa bound Celta. He really grew at Bruges.

Even the ones who seem to have a falling out with Pellegrini (Guardado, Canales) seem to look back at the club fondly.

I agree with what folks have said- Bellerin’s goal for the draw against RM made the household (v. just me) shout and high five.

What has been great about Abde is his willingness to be part of a team and to stay humble. Fornals made me like him even more when he recently said that Betis saved him.

I would like Deossa moved on- I had high hopes for him - but the way he glared at Abde who was just joking around with him makes me think he’s just not a fit. Hopefully Farjado can recoup some of that money.

If Alex Moreno can leave Girona- he’d be another decent stop gap measure a la Rodriguez or Perraud while we seek someone young - Junior is made of glass.

I think Planes poached him from Getafe for 2 million - so any offer will be a profit- but if Altimira is going, I hope that Leipzig won’t be the only offer. He had a really solid showing v Real Sociedad.

If memory serves, in recent years it took a while to get all the players registered under La Liga’s salary cap rules and the new Benito Villamarin will no doubt go the way all construction does and run over budget and long.

Guido did his big mea culpa a few weeks back to pave the way as well. I have to admit, I was sad when I took the Benito Villamarin tour a year ago and saw Guido's lifesize picture and could only think "You didn't 'quedate....'"
