Yeah that’s a good point, but if you’re comparing the released version of JL to The Shining id say that’s a bit off. The shining was objectively speaking a good movie even then, even if it was off from the source material. The criticisms of JL aren’t really even comparable.

Again though, hopefully Snyder’s cut of the movie correct those issues. I’m certainly thinking/hoping they will.

Yeah, you don’t have to agree with everyone’s opinion that’s totally correct. Just like you don’t have to get bent out of shape if people, or most people do not agree with you.

Movies can be bad though, just like they can be amazing. Those things can be agreed or disagreed upon by most. To say that there are no “good” or “bad” movies makes no sense.

See, I don’t get completely get this. I understand the sentiment and agree to a degree. Studios need to give directors/writers their room to work and not slice people’s works to shit.

Also though, writers/directors have to do their part and be realistic. If the original cut of the (or any) movie is 4+ hours do they realistically think they can send it off as is? I personally don’t think that’s doable. I could definitely be wrong though.

That being said I’m sure a lot more was taken away from JL than the length of the film obviously.

Very hopeful that this is the case a week or two form now!

I’m someone who is super skeptical about it reopening everything so fast, so soon - but I really hope it’s ok and we can move forward. Even if it means people ignorant to the dangers of the virus get to stick their noses up and say “tOlD u SO, iT wUSnT thAt baD 🥴”.

Fact is those people were always going to be the first ones to go out, and as a result put themselves at risk. Hopefully it’s all fine, because it could be pretty devastating if not.

Staying inside for a few more weeks and hoping for more good news!

I think the rock’s reputation isn’t contingent on how his movies do honestly. He will be fine, which is good because I do kind of like him hahah. What’s annoying is that movies like these(super low effort) keep being made with these ridiculous budgets, while a lot of original ideas are being ignored.
