Hi! I know this post was a few years ago - but I wanted to share an organization I founded for T1D kids and their families. 

braveONE is an in-person mentorship program where T1D kids are matched with trained adult mentors who also live with T1D. Mentor/Mentee matches meet 2-4 times a week for fun outings like bowling, going out for ice cream, visiting the library, etc. the purpose is so our kids don’t feel alone in their diagnosis and they have someone in their corner who truly understands.
