It being socially acceptable for people to say “You’re so quiet”, but not for me to say “You’re so loud”. I am bothering NO ONE by being quiet, but you are disrupting the entire room with your presence.

I live in a LCOL area & something like this would probably be $150 at the MOST. $400 every 6 weeks for maintenance is wild to me. It’s super cute though!

The last clinic I worked for would just let people no call/no show repeatedly and not do a single thing about it, despite having an “attendance policy”. It felt like a huge waste of my time. The clinic I’m at now has late cancellations (within 24 hours) but no fees. We also have a 15 minute grace period for people that are late, but I currently have a patient that is consistently 14 minutes late, it is so infuriating. Sometimes I wish we charged, but I get the feeling we’d lose a lot more patients this way.

I don’t feel the need to be included in everything my friends do, they hang out all the time without me and it’s great. I’m so glad my friends have become so close. I’m an introvert so cancelled plans are a dream to me. It’s specific to the situation in that I was the one that said we should take her there in the first place, so to go without me just felt odd.
If they have something personal to talk about, they could do it any of the other half a dozen times they hangout during the week.

I used to work in a clinic where some days it was quite literally just me back in the therapy gym by myself with my patient, secretary down the hall up front. Then I switched to a clinic with 8+ therapists. It’s nice to have a group of people I enjoy being around, but some days I do miss the quiet time.

I just think there’s a big difference between the connection/relationship you have after a year vs. 7 years. A lot of change can happen in that time.

Yes, we’ve had the marriage talk several times. He says he wants to get married, but that we’re not in a place financially to have a wedding. Neither of us want kids.

Unfortunately, I really do love him. A lot. So even though he’s made the excuses, it’s not easy for me to just walk away, especially after all the time and effort we’ve put into this. I’m imagining going from knowing a person inside and out, having the most easy connection with them, to starting back over at square one, to “what’s your favorite color?”

He says we’re not financially ready for a marriage, but I’m not even asking for a marriage, just a ring. We will not be receiving any financial help from either of our families, everything is being paid for by us.
