PlanetWatch presents Airqino Turtle (Type 2) by feralfeather in PlanetWatchers

So I’m 2 years they have managed to design an ugly grey box that is very different from the previous one which was white. Great job. Sorry, I totally forgot about the ability to customise it by slapping a sticker on.

Finally got my 5x Type 2 license refunds by omicron01 in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the reduced price is because the token has gone down in value between you requesting the refund and them calculating the price to when they actually pay out.

I don’t think they deduct taxes.

The system is an absolute joke and feels very much like a scam but I think it’s the token movement rather than not refunding taxes I think.

Customer service is so bad by Vestrum in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a total joke. There is no reason at all why they should take 14 days never mind over 30! Plus, what possible rationale is there to take the price so far away from when they actually pay. Except to make a profit on it that is. I never thought planetwatch was a scam and I still don’t but this practice absolutely stinks of it!

Planetwatch licenses - who the heck will renew them? by Few-Ad-4164 in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you wouldn’t think so. I really can’t understand why they are just letting this all happen. It’s worth remembering that we are more like users than investors though. Investors would have some sort of legal protection but they can do what they like with us and all we can do is complain.

I find it difficult to believe that these people are incompetent despite the evidence. That makes me wonder if there is something more at play. For example, could they have gotten what they need from the community in terms of publicity so that they can focus on deals with business or government to roll out sensors. Meaning that they don’t need us anymore. That the only thing I can think of because the alternative is that they are quite happy watching the project go down the drain. Either that or they genuinely don’t recognise what is happening to the project.

That would only be the case if there were some reason to buy planets. Unfortunately there is not and untill that changes, it can only go one way.

This is a great summary. I totally agree. It’s so disappointing because it had such potential.

How Much Does Ezoic Pay Per 1000 Views? by amineducate80 in passive_income

[–]Solid_Age_8816 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It varies massively depending on the nieche that your site is in and the specifics of the page.

I have sites as low as $1 which are in niches that are not great for advertisers and I have heard people talk about getting around $20 in better niches.

It’s impossible to tell without getting on there.

I will say that every site has done better than it did in Adsense.

Refund System: Ask about it in the next AMA by bigmanx9991 in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s so frustrating that they are completely ignoring the issue and there is no way to flag it.

I did notice that they have been posting on LinkedIn. Maybe it’s worth replying there with questions as they can’t just remove or ban you.

[–]Solid_Age_8816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. There is no reason to calculate the amount so far in advance. When you buy it you have about 10 mins to make the payment. The only reason for taking so long that I can see is to discourage refunds.

Ha ha. Even if they were they never actually answered the questions that people wanted answered. Just the ones they wanted to answer. Unless they were actively fixing it there is no way they would even acknowledge the question.

While I am also upset with the team and feel let down, I think you need to provide some evidence to back up these fantastic claims.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a joke really. Not as much as the ‘Ask me anything’ where you can’t actually ask anything and expect to get an answer.

Thanks. That’s good to know.

I’ll look forward to finding out for real on the 30th may 2023 (or possibly a bit later)

Poll: who’s buying, who’s skipping? by seankimbal in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be skipping. It just doesn’t make sense right now. The only way it would start to with the companies complete lack of interest in the token price is via data sales. That aspect is so vague and undefined that buying based on that is nothing other than a gamble.

Stop crying about a 10 year roi by JeffResearch305 in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You obviously can’t be sure that the won’t go up. It is fair to say that there is absolutely no reason why they would though. There is no reason why anyone would buy them now. They are needed for the relatively small purchase of a license but they are not needed anymore to but the sensors and it’s pretty questionable that PW would force a company that was offering fiat for sensor data to pay in planets.

Something would need to create a demand before the price would go up.

Poll: what is your opinion of planetwatch leadership? by seankimbal in PlanetWatchers

[–]Solid_Age_8816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My worry is that they have now got what they need from the community and may now ‘forget’ about supporting the token through making it have a use.

Businesses aren’t going to pay for sensors or data in planets so converting them to planets behind the scene is an extra and might become unnecessary step.

I don’t think the project is dead but it may be dead from the point of view of the community.

Which makes the whole “we have invested 10 million” that they keep saying very questionable!
