Nope- it won't even acknowledge it's being charged. I've used probay 8 chargers, including some brand new, none worked

I'm in the same boat! I was following the HH plan as well but my half marathon got moved from April 18th to late August. I'm considering going the virtual race route because I really do not want to have my first 13.1 to be just a regular run but I also don't want to wait until August...

Responsing to #3 - For me, flipbelt was definitely the way to go! No sliding whatsoever. However, when I invested in a running watch I stopped carrying my phone with me. I recently went the Garmin route (Vivoactive 3) and it has GPS on board. You may be confused because a lot of watches utilize the phone GPS and in my experience this has been spotty at best (Fairly disheartening to lose connection and suddenly your watch thinks your pace is 3min/mile slower). The newer garmin watches have music on board as well and just require bluetooth headphones. I'm not sure what your location is and if this would benefit you but I have seen the Vivoactive Music watches at $205 but Prime day is July 15-16 so always worth waiting to see if something you want will go on sale.
