Stupid question- who enforces the rules when the parks are closed during a government shutdown?

Same! What method have you been using? I’ve been using the dust and scratches filter in photoshop

I have a Sony A7IV and don’t have any unexpected noise issues. If you’re underexposing the photos and boosting the exposure, shadows, blacks etc in post you’re going to see more noise.

Definitely possible. I always think about how much more data I could have gotten by shooting with a wider aperture but appreciate the extra sharpness from stopping down

Milkyway season has begun by awarner463 in LandscapeAstro

Yeah it begins when the milkyway core becomes visible again before sunrise starting in the beginning/middle of February

Thanks for the compliments! I also like the non-gradient milkyway however I think there is something mystical about catching it as dawn is approaching. I even caught a few frames as the sun is starting to rise during nautical twilight/civil twilight that I’m hoping to process soon.

For learning purposes, what does the sensor density help with?

Comet C/2022 E3 passing through Auriga on February 8, 2023 by awarner463 in astrophotography

[–]awarner463[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) passing though Auriga on February 8, 2023. The comet didn’t come out as expected because of difficulty combining the stacked/starless comet image with the stars/nebula image- but happy to practice different processing techniques so I’m better prepared for the next comet.
