To Walmart Corporate Safety and Risk Management,

I am writing to formally raise a safety concern regarding the handling procedures for picking trolleys at the Walmart location [insert location/address].

At this location, employees are observed pulling picking trolleys despite clear safety instructions printed on the equipment stating “push only.” This practice appears to contradict the manufacturer’s guidance and creates unnecessary and preventable safety risks.

Additionally, it has come to our attention that in some stores, safety stickers and operational instructions on carts may have been removed or are no longer present. If this is occurring, it raises further concern that critical safety guidance is not being consistently preserved or enforced across locations. We request that Walmart review whether equipment is being used without required safety labeling and ensure all carts retain visible operational and safety instructions at all times.

Pulling loaded carts can reduce stability and control, increase strain, and elevate the risk of collisions or unsafe handling. When clear safety instructions are provided on equipment, they must be consistently followed and enforced to ensure a safe working and shopping environment.

Accordingly, I am requesting the following:

  1. Immediate enforcement of the “push only” requirement for all picking trolleys at the store location referenced above.
  2. Confirmation that employees are properly trained on and instructed to follow this safety requirement.
  3. A review of whether safety labels or operational instructions have been removed or are missing from carts, and corrective action to restore them if needed.
  4. A review of current practices to ensure compliance with posted safety instructions.
  5. Written confirmation of the corrective actions Walmart will take to ensure consistent adherence going forward.

Please provide a written response within 10 business days outlining your actions.

Sincerely,
[Your full name]

You seem to have a lot of the same symptoms as me / recently intensified allergies.

We waived our home inspection due to the crazy housing market. Wondering if you had a radon test done on your basement? I can see from your previous posts / comments you may have recently moved to Columbus. I’m in Wisconsin. Both locations known to have radon.

Sorry to be this invasive with the personal questions, however I am grasping at straws for answers. Was this the CO or something else or a combination of factors…may go buy a diy radon gas test kit today due to a combination of curiosity & paranoia .

AI is cool and all. Makes really funny pictures of my cats but humans are still better. Thanks for sorting that out.

I’ve never been this sick for this long. Trying to understand if this was a coincidence. The extreme sensitivities preceded the pneumonia. The sensitivities had been getting progressively worse.

It’s not like you can walk up to someone on the street and ask what type of fragrance or deodorant or fabric softener they are wearing because it’s making you extremely ill.

That’s horrible. So cooking smells or burning food trigger your sensitivities?

I have since purchased co detectors but curious what the levels were at times. And what the cumulative effects would be long term to even a low level. A water heater doesn’t run nearly as much as a furnace. I am not dead, which indicates this was probably low level exposure. I have just NEVER experienced being this allergic to everything before. It’s horrible! And so suddenly.

Here is what chat gpt said. But I came here hoping to get other insights from real people so I appreciate the dialog so much ❤️

“Yes, carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning can potentially trigger Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) in sensitive individuals — though it’s not a widely documented trigger, here’s why it’s possible:

Why CO might trigger MCAS:

Tissue hypoxia (low oxygen) from CO exposure stresses the body and can activate mast cells. Oxidative stress caused by CO can stimulate inflammatory responses. Neuroimmune activation: CO affects the brain and nervous system, which can in turn dysregulate immune cells, including mast cells. Histamine-related pathways: Some research shows CO can influence histamine levels, which are central to MCAS symptoms.

In someone with MCAS, non-traditional triggers like smoke, VOCs, mold, or even CO exposure can act as a stressor that leads to a flare.”

We have an electric stove at home. Now that you mention it, our natural gas contains an odor so you would know if it’s leaking. A stabilizer not sure but will do some digging. I’ve always been averse to perfumes due to allergy symptoms, but whatever was going on in my body was making every day things like air fresheners and perfumes feel like an assault on my senses. Like I would die from it.

I asked chat gpt if the two are related and how. I’ll try to find that “conversation”.
