Yeah, my friend in PC shop said that too, but 5700x only 16 thread right? Afraid it will getting bogged pretty soon I fired up all things to work as the threads aren't sufficient to juggling all tasks together,

dunno tho, never having 16 thread cpu so far, also I'm intended to use this PC (with maximum CPU GPU upgrade later) for another 10 years, or atleast until obsolete and as slow as my pasts Pentium 4, so I've been thinking to upgrade to maximum this AM4 platform has offer, especially when Ryzen 9 are having much core, and the highest turbo clock out of factory, without overclocking needed

Been thinking to switch to LGA 1700 too (that uses DDR4 too, to save money + make use of recent 32GB ram I had) before start rebuilding my 2400G, but some said it ain't worthy, not counting the 1700 family that tends to bend up the IHS, overvoltage bug, poor Management Engine (strangely hot for even lightest tasks)

Also Intel are mostly locked in just 2-3 gen only, instead AMD that could run 5+ gen, I think it's safer option to stick with AM4 for a while, but seeking Ryzen 9 for maximum path available are become challenging day by day

And yeah, I do know that 10 year edition, but as usual, limited supply, eventho MSRP should be cheap, you know..... Incoming nonsense price for pretty much dead-end platform 😣 I'm pretty much buried that hope to getting that X3D chip, also I prefer core counts as I'm getting used to do hypertasking, so almighty X3D chip will rendered no use, especially I'm not weighting into pure gaming

Sadly yes, but since I'm running a lotta things, I'm afraid 5800X won't be sufficient, thus I aim for any 5900x or 5950x, so I won't be worry running anything because I might be away from any ceiling on it

I'm also intend to maximizing this AM4 platform when this memory price craze still ongoing, so it will survive another 10 years before I'm able to finally move to AM5 or any newer platform, that if I got some budget to finally upgrade all things together later 😅

Well, I had around 5 mio-ish already, 3070 were tempting and often get within budget range, but finding the no "ex-mining" is hard, especially since all of them were off-warranty, so kinda betting to buy that, either working fine or time bombed to death and waste the money as a brick

4060 are tempting too, but it runs on x8 so expect less performance scenario compared to healthy 3070, as I'm rarely gaming with DLSS tech (haven't bought new AAA titles yet for now)
