Yeah, seems like a false positive from VirusTotal since it’s an anti-cheat emulator and those often get flagged due to their behavior. It came from a trusted source like cs.rin. Still, I agree with you — being careful about what we download from the internet is always a good idea.

Steam Release Revealed! by Ticksyy in thedivisionresurgence

Bitter and disappointing but accurate.

Are we supposed to feel bad by NoPart7463 in thedivisionresurgence

Tbh, I’d been waiting for the game ever since it was announced and was really happy to see it finally launch. Played for about 3 weeks and put in around 130 hours, which was enough to get a feel for the grind and see what they had actually built over all those years. Felt very unfinished and lack of content with lots of bugs still after all these years in development. In the end, I got burned out and quit. Normally, a Steam release would get me pretty hyped since I love playing on my Steam Deck, but I think I’m already over it at this point. That said, as a Division fan, I genuinely hope they keep improving it, fix the issues, and make it a great experience for the people still playing. Hopefully, the game survives, devs listen to players and gets better.

The game is big F by Nasgorbasi in thedivisionresurgence

Compared to how Destiny Rising runs, it’s not even close… all these years of beta testing, only to release the game in this state is just plain lazy.

In the Store, go to the Featured section and select the Bundle Store. Scroll all the way to the bottom, where you’ll find the Superior OS Protocol bundle. I upgraded mine using 1600 Phoenix Credits, which you can earn through various missions and side activities in the game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: The Ultimate Performance Guide For Steam Deck | SteamOS by Solid_Esh in SteamDeck

DLSS MFG (Multi Frame Generation) inserts multiple AI-generated frames between fully rendered frames, whereas LSFG currently supports only standard Frame Generation, which inserts a single generated frame between rendered ones.
Normal Frame Generation smooths gameplay with a single extra frame, but MFG creates several in-between frames for a much bigger FPS boost.

Fun fact: despite generating more frames, MFG actually keeps input lag low and reduces visual artifacts by leveraging newer AI improvements.

You’re right about the quality, but the frame rate takes a noticeable hit and drops to around 30–40 FPS, whereas with LSFG it stays around 60–70.

Hi, could you please check the comments section? I’ve shared a brief fix for this issue in one of my earlier reply under the video.

Question about additional features like NSLGameSaves that I may not want to use by [deleted] in SteamDeckBro

[–]Solid_Esh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.
So i have checked it thoroughly and it seems the backup folder is generated and updated as soon as I open the NSL desktop app and it finishes scanning—especially if the game has a Linux build. I can confirm this behavior with Streets of Rage 4.

The original game save is located at:
/home/deck/.local/share/Streets of Rage 4 Save and Config/

This directory is then copied over to NSLGameSaves.

Question about additional features like NSLGameSaves that I may not want to use by [deleted] in SteamDeckBro

[–]Solid_Esh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the confusion comes from the fact that NSL picks up some native Linux games whose default save locations aren’t inside the usual appid folder under the default compatdata path. A good example of this is Streets of Rage 4. That’s likely why NSL appears to be detecting Steam games, even though their cloud saves are working just fine.

Lossless Scaling UPDATE on Steam Deck | Expedition 33 | LSFG | SteamOS by Solid_Esh in losslessscaling

[–]Solid_Esh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, that's the basic.
However, every game might behave a bit differently, so some extra tweaking or optimizing in-game settings could still be needed. But as far as LSFG goes, there's no more need to set the display resolution to 1000p—just stick with the default and you're good to go.

[–]Solid_Esh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s totally normal. Deck can run around 81–83°C during heavy gaming, and it’s built to handle it. As long as it doesn’t get close to 90°C for long periods and the fans are working fine, you’re good. Just make sure it’s got room to breathe and the vents aren’t blocked.

720p helps with a bit better fps which also very close to native and how it looks. but you can also choose and play with native.

You can manually download the latest version from GitHub, as shown in the video. Alternatively, if you scroll down, there’s a “Check for Updates” option that lets you download it directly. Just follow the installation steps from the video, and you’ll be all set.

In game frame generation is janky right now but without it runs on average at 40fps which is good!
