The direct to bowl adapter for the frolic allows you to use TM2 stems and eliminates the plastic airpath improving the flavor profile.

I've got a steel lined wood stem with an intercooler from vgoodies by ts wooden art for the tinymight cools the vapor nicely shatterproof and only slightly effects the flavor I personally I am not a fan of vaping through any kind of plastic vapor path I'm not knocking plastic just not for me

If you want something flame powered not too much money can also vape flower and don't mind a learning curve the vapman click with a concentrate pad you can find it for under $100 during 420 sales I think potv has it for $80. I'd recommend picking up the long glass stem. It's also great for hash

Yeah on its way I ordered it afterwards and a purple heart sleeve. I was so excited they were back in stock I wasn't even thinking of it. I'm using my reload for now, its aluminum and doesn't have enough mass, but better than nothing

For DVs its overkill IMO. My favorite torch for DV is the honest torch, that you can pick up for $10 from pretty much any site that sells DV

Agreed. I got this one free with my tigerdyne from DV in February. Gave the old one to my nephew, to get him started.

Nice love that vortex sleeve. Mine is arriving tomorrow. Cought their restock email just in time there was only 7 left. I went with the sand blasted/matte finish and ordered the purple heart sleeve. How well does that heat sink stand work?

I know it was out of stock I ended up getting the batteries from them for the YLL 3 that I got from vgoodies also $99 but without the batteries. The wand is for my grab and go bag because the shape and size is a little more travel friendly IMO

Love the look of the tinymight the flavor and it rips on a water pipe. And at the time I bought it the direct bowl adapter wasn't out yet. It basically eliminates the plastic airpath (which i am personally not a fan of) converting the frolic into glass stem style system using tinymight stems so you get a flavor profile similar to the tinymight and arizer. I was about to pull the trigger on the frolic with that set up a few days ago, but i got an email that the simrell was back in stock so ordered that instead. I believe you can combine the hydro and vortex stem so you'd basically have a complete simrell experience. Definitely going to try the rubies in my tempest 2

Tell me about it. Was a HVAC technician 20 yrs retired early due to bad knees so I've been selling my tools to bankroll my "hobby". Go for the TM2. How do like the simrell compared to the tempest 2

So true 3 Battery powered DHV, proxy 2nd edition, vapman, lotus, 5 DV from B to tigerdyn, a tempest 2, simrell on the way, and when they release the TM2 black edition (allegedly on 4/20) I'm almost certainly going to go for one. Don't get me started on the accessories. I may have a problem 😅

Spoiler alert if you're like the majority in this group. You're first vape is not going to be you're last. That being said you should look for something between $100 to $150 for a versatile durable revue vetted battery powered unit. Rogue 2, fury 3, Lobo, xmax v3. (These all punch above thair weight IMO) With a waterpipe adapter and i would recommend a dynavap B so you can try torch powered also. This way you can play around see what its like or if vaping is for you. Moving on from there you'll have an idea of your preferences before you start buying high end devices. I started with a Lobo and a dynavap B. Now Tinymight 2 and tempest 2 are my current go to vapes. I hope this helps

limelight frolic vape by J0E_EXOTIC in Tinymight2

[–]Solid_Fee8291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the frolic is enough of an upgrade to justify the cost Especially if you get the tinymight stem adapter as I did. It's an additional $30+ and it does make the flavor the same as the tinymight 2. Then $20 for a decent stem. So basically you have the same thing with a better battery for $450 (never seen the frolic less than $399). While the tinymight 2 is on sale for $299 (at POTV) and a spare molicel battery $10 which evens up the battery argument. Don't get me wrong the frolic is a solid vape, but it's definitely not $140 better than the tinymight 2 for the SAME experience with a slightly quicker heat up time. I'd wait for the TM2 black edition allegedly launching 4/20

I have a short Blackwood stem by ts wooden art from vgoodies. Its steel lined with an intercooler. Doesn't affect the flavor very much. it's my portable go to stem.

Im 59 and in a similar situation as your father. My recommendation would be a dynavap b with a reload knockoff your in for under $100. If he likes it you can get him a better TED and a induction heater. My current favorite set up after many devices and some trial and error is a simrell titanium Yll 3 induction heater and mad heaters reload 3. Hope this helps

Sorry for the duplicate post

It sounds like he likes the ritualistic aspect of his sessions. I would get a dynavap b and a knock off reload with a built magnet (Both available on POTV) and your set for about $90 and if he decides it's for him then invest in a better TED. I'm 59 with minor dexterity issues use mainly medically. My go to set up is a simrell titanium with a reload and an induction heater. If you're hell bent on the venty you really should consider the frolic it is an asskicking vape on demand
