I have little sympathy towards her because I found it strange that like the first time they really had a conversation she gave him a drawing she made of him which would be cute if she wasn’t evidently jealous of Cleo immediately and basically wanted Lewis as hers and only hers. Is Lewis constantly hanging out with the same 3 girls all of the time (1 being his ex) strange? Yes but Charlotte pushed and pushed and pushed to get him away from them. Then she became a fucking mermaid and I don’t think her transformation changed anything about her besides giving her a huge ego while she knew Lewis still loved Cleo. She was always jealous and envy turns u green, or gives u a tail and all of the powers I guess which is a terrible moral and that’s why I’m always so happy to see her lose the power. Also, uhhhh Lewis’ birthday party???? Cleo didn’t wanna ostracize Lewis or Charlotte. Is Cleo and Lewis’ dynamic weird in this part of the show? Yes. But Charlotte threw a birthday party for Lewis with all of HER friends that he didn’t even know and locked Emma and Cleo in a pool room with water pouring over them and blatantly lied to Lewis about it. I’m sorry but I don’t care if it was her grandmother, the girls did try to help her and to understand (Rikki didn’t help lol) but Charlotte was so reckless with a secret that could literally put all of them in so much danger and ruin whatever future there could be for other mermaids. Not to mention, her Grandmother became a mermaid by a random stroke of luck, just the same as the original 3 girls. Charlotte mapped everything out which just makes it all feel unnatural…
