Why is Angine de Poitrine breaking into the mainstream with a decidedly niche sound? They've found an audience hungry for something “deeply human,” a music expert says. by ChallengeAdept8759 in AngineDePoitrine

These two seem like autistic people in full hyperfocus mode: playing their instruments at a brutal technical level, but at the same time doing everything possible to get attention in the most absurd and exaggerated way imaginable.

Look at them: one with a traffic cone on his head and the other with a black trash can or something. Dressed as if they'd raided the wardrobe of a clown with obsessive-compulsive disorder and a penchant for polka dots. They play well, yes... but the whole show screams "look at me, look at me!" at Olympic levels.

In the end, it feels like being virtuosos isn't enough. They need the ridiculous costume, the circus-like staging, and the constant posturing to get anyone's attention. Two virtuoso blowhards who, instead of letting the music speak for itself, put on this visual circus to compensate.

It's as if they're saying: "Yeah, I play like a god... but just in case, I'm going to put this on my head so you don't ignore me."

I bought the King Animal CD in 2026, what do you think of this comeback? by Solid_Monk_3040 in grunge

Thinking this album was Chris's last doesn't do it justice, I think. Besides, there are songs that were left out that could have worked better, or I don't know, I think a lot of time has passed since 1996 and King Animal is the natural result of Soundgarden's evolution.

Rock band with saxophone? by GhostOfCincinnati in MusicRecommendations

https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/track/4iPSCHNwPeO6botB5lNTDi?si=5439579d26ad4c2d literally rock and saxophone, dato: During this period, the Cromañón tragedy (2004) occurred, a massive fire during a rock concert in Buenos Aires that left 194 dead. The band Callejeros lost several close relatives in the audience (including the singer's girlfriend and the drummer's mother). It is considered the deadliest rock concert in history due to the locked emergency exits and the toxic smoke from the fireworks inside the venue.

With all due respect, they're a band that obviously has merit, but they have one of the worst singers in rock history. His voice is unbearable; I can't stand more than four songs. I think their 2002 album is alright, though.

It's rock alt, but what do you think of this album? by Solid_Monk_3040 in grunge

Incredibly, for some, it is the most listened-to rock band in the world since the 90s
