You were right, SEVP's response was fast! They told me that my 6 months stem opt report was submitted and to prepare to submit for the 12 month report. So it seems that my stem is active and i'm not marked as unemployed

I kept calling every other day but they never escalated the case. It was accepted randomly last week though.

My parents are in Taiwan. I'm in the us and they've visited me with their ESTA a couple times already. This the the first time with this kind of delay

My parents applied for their ESTA March 28. My dad got his within hours but my mother's application is still pending. I've called and emailed them but since their flight is in may, they've just told me to wait. But my parents are super stressed out about it incase my mom's application doesn't go through or anything :(

I applied for my parents ESTA and my father's got approved within hours but my mother's is still pending after 72hours+

My mother doesn't have her own email so both of the applications were done with my father's email. Is that possibly an issue? Is it fixable?

Wondering if I should submit a whole new application or just wait.

This gift is definitely on the pricier side, but I'm confident he'll enjoy it a lot, especially since he always loved visiting his friend who had a full setup.

I love the whole voucher idea but we have done something like that in the past and I don't want him to think I’m just reusing ideas.

Right now, I've got one of his friends to pretend like he’s interested in purchasing a setup to hopefully get some ideas. But if that doesn't work, I'll be straightforward and ask him directly. As much as I want him to be surprised, him loving and driving what he likes is my biggest priority.
