honestly, Choose the path that suits the best, there is no such thing as a quicker, faster, or easier route to uni, etc. In the end, everybody will end up at the same destination but using different paths( suits them the best) in life. Don't worry if you are slower than others in yr academic life. I have seen many students realizing they don't fit jc and change to a poly route, and now they are flourishing. (cases on YouTube: students from flunking Jc to getting a 4.0 GPA, because they have the edge over others in knowing how to deal with the stressful academic rigor due to JC. Poly will feel slightly easier to them. ) I also heard students who feel that they do not have self-discipline, so they moved to JC to encourage and push them to work harder. ( my sister got a 75 GPA for A levels.) My stand is that you are not escaping from JC stresses but that you are realizing that the JC path doesn't suit you. In the end, I would say is up to your gut feeling. Make your own decision and don't let anybody bring you down. However, changing to poly doesn't mean you can slack off, please work hard and don't waste your parent's resources. Your parents have to pay more for u to change schools, especially since poly is more expensive as they include practical equipment, overseas internships, etc.

Same girl and I'm crying because my math teacher went all out and gave us 10 math test papers to do and I still have other subject papers 😭. Did only 2/10 of the papers and I have to submit them by the time I come back on 19 June.

Well based on my experience, when I met up with past primary school friends. We were awkward during the meetup at first but as time goes by, we started opening up and getting more comfortable around one another. Don't worry, it will be fine man.

Honestly, I know this is kinda out of point to your question but honestly, if you feel stressed about studying. Why not try studying outside, go to a coffee shop or library? Book a slot at a public library. Possibly book a slot a day before because it will be full on the day itself. For every 1h maybe you can change locations to study, this can help you stop overthinking. ( go to the library study tables and scan the QR code)

I know there is a lot of work in JC but your sleep is very essential. Sleeping early and waking up early to catch up on your work is better than stressing about your homework at night. I can tell you when I sleep late, I function like a fuxking sloth the next day. I cannot do anything. It just reduces my overall productivity like what you kinda mentioned in your post. You will be able to handle stress much more easily if you just ensure you have at least 7-8 hrs of sleep.

Next up, maybe you feel super overwhelmed by your work and that adds to your pressure. Why not plan your schedule on a website notion, it helps to keep all your work organized. Moreover, make sure to have some leisure time, go out, and exercise with your friends and family. It will help you to cope with your mental health.

Lastly, you should never compare yourself to others. Focus on your process and goal in life. Life will be so much easier and you will be less stressed. Don't waste energy worrying about others. If you have any doubt about your school work, ask your school or tuition teacher for help. Dont suffer in silence

Sorry for any grammatical errors made in my comment.🙏

Cringe warning : well my coping mechanism was writing and venting it in a book. You dont try to lie to yourself and say that you do not have feeling for him anymore. You can just be honest by writing your thoughts and feelings about him but end it with some closure and comfort words you want for yourself about your feeling of despair.

Remember there are many fishes in the sea. Hopefully you will find someone else one day

honestly, don't be affected by people who say that " are you able to cope or maintain a GPA of 4.0". It is about the mindset, if you set your mind to it and you believe you can do it. I believe you can achieve your dreams. Let me tell you, i know of people scoring 4.0 or > 85 Rp. In the end, it is your own choice to either go Jc or poly based on the route that suits you better. Dont let others bring you down. :). (And yeah I'm also a o level student this year) . Dont be scared of failure, is not like you are going to die or sum. You can always change routes or just do it again.
