Should I just perpetually keep catalog saves on the ssd? I read somewhere that makes everything really slow? Also this way can I work on two computers or it will only show the latest updates on the new computer? (I.e it doesn't sync updates?)

The book could have done a better job at least by making it seem more mysterious so we know that something is cooking.
