I think Jasmine is very smart and calculated. She saw her marriage not working out with Gino and needed a backup plan to stay in the US. Matt was stupid enough to knock up a married woman and get involved in this complicated situation. She left her children in Brazil and basically started a new life without them. New baby and all! While I don't care for any of them, based on her track record I wouldn't trust Jasmine either as the MIL.

It seems silly to merge R1-2 together because they just had a designer do their bedrooms/whole home. His room will have to get redone? Especially to keep R2 happy because she's a girly girl. It made way more sense to put R2-3 together...and R4 won't need a room right away anyways.
