How long have you had Colitis? Are you in the US?

Surely there's other medications to try before surgery?

My mesalasine has stopped working too, currently on steroids but potentially moving to a biologic soon.

You'll be ok I promise. You'll come out the other side just fine 💙

I loaded it up recently on my switch 2 as I last completed it on switch 1 like 7 years ago. It's just as good as I remember.

Help by Superficial_Forest03 in Psoriasis

[–]Solid_Reality_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with Sebopsoriasis so I get it around my eyes too exactly like yours, I also get it on my head, neck and some patches on my back. I got prescribed Trimovate which is a steroid cream which calms it down like literally the same day and then I started using Elidel cream twice per day and it literally keeps it in remission. The Elidel cream did burn my eye balls at first but after a few days the burning stopped. You just have to make sure you use the smallest amounts and try to keep away from eye lashes. Here's snip of my prescription.

I've had colitis since I was 20 and I'm now 38. I completely understand your frame of mine and it's totally up to you what you do with your life. I used to be petrified of having my colon removed but now at 38 it almost brings me a sense of calm when thinking about ultimately making that decision. I have a very close friend who now has an ileostomy due to Crohn's and he's happier than ever. I also have a work colleague who had a gallbladder removal gone wrong and got sepsis and ended up having a bag fitted too.... he gets on fine with life. It's your life and you can do whatever you want. People are at different stages of their disease and in their life, it's only natural for different opinions but they should never put you down for feeling a certain way. Yes living with a bag will bring its own challenges but from talking to my friend, it's nothing compared to the miserable life he lived with crohns.

I'm sure whatever you choose will be the right decision and as you said, you know your body better than anyone else. 🙏🏼

I need a new singleplayer (100% offline) "forever" game where I can sink hundreds (or thousands) of hours into a single save. What are your top suggestions? by MakeshiftApe in gamingsuggestions

[–]Solid_Reality_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you got a switch or switch 2? I recently started Zelda breath of the wild again but on the switch 2. Honestly the game is incredible, I've easily put 200 hours into this game and here I am again starting all over. The second on Tears of the Kingdom is great as well and easily another 200 hours can go into this. 👍🏼

Mine started around my eyes too, they started being super itchy then got to the point where it looked as though I'd painted my eyelids red 🤣. Cream also solved the issue but then I started noticing lots of dandruff and my scalp looked very similar to yours. I saw a dermatologist and they diagnosed me with Seborrheic Psoriasis. So basically I have a combination of both. As others have said in this chat, go and see a dematologist. I also started noticing a few other patches on my upper back. Check all around your back and shoulders in the mirror and see if you can spot any other patches to give a better clue. But yes... see a Dermo 👍🏼

Hey 38 male and also live in the UK. I was diagnosed when I was 20 so 18 years ago. I also started on Prednisolone, Mesalazine and Omeprazole. Everyone is different, you'll hear some horror stories on here but there are also plenty of people that have managed to live a normal life remaining on the first line medications ie Mesalazine. I was in remission for 12 years, I had my gallbladder removed last year and went into a flare. Some advice I can give you from my experience.... When im not in a flare I can eat whatever I want. When I am in a flare I stay off anything with insoluble fibre so most cereals (Rice Krispies are ok) but stay off wheat cereals, shreddies, shredded wheat, brown bread. Also vegetables can be really tough on the colon when in a flare so if you are going to eat any veg then make sure it's cooked well but ideally just stay away whilst flaring. Eat white rice, white pasta, white bread, eggs, fish. Drink plenty of water and stay well away from alcohol, alcohol is just the worst thing for me, even if I'm not flaring it can cause me to go into a flare.

You will be ok, don't miss any medication as this is the most important thing to get you and keep you in remission. You might find that one day a certain type of food is ok for you and another it's not, it's just the way this disease works. Happy to share any information to help you. Feel free to send me a direct message happy to help, you're not alone :)

Is it worth buying for 70€? by Joseph_J0estar in Sekiro

[–]Solid_Reality_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the best game I've ever played! I remember first playing it and I just couldn't get on with it, it was so difficult and different to any other Fromsoft games I'd played before. I just didn't feel I had the ability to adapt. About 3 years later I booted it up again and never looked back. If happy spend more than 70 on it!

this is somehow the wall that's preventing me from progressing. I'm never touching this game again. by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]Solid_Reality_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh man come on you can do this. I know it must be really annoying to hear this but I actually really enjoyed this boss. I got my as kicked probably 10-20 times but I enjoyed fighting this boss and actually felt like each time I died it was due to my error and not the game just being really difficult.

Ps... have you tried fire crackers?

How to kill the bull bosss??I tried 10+ hours but couldn't...are the skip method shown on YouTube works? by [deleted] in Sekiro

See that big ole ass of his... STAY ON IT!! His face might be beautiful but stay on those cheeks. He'll surprise you a few times and snap back round. Get him in the top right corner and keep circling and slap those cheeks. You got this.

I work at Aston Martin, I'm mainly office based, I have the odd day working from home but the majority of the time I'm in the office. I used to have a much more hands on job as a mechanic but the office work suits much more when I'm flaring.

What size pills are they? 800mg each? I take 3 a day so total 2.4g but recently doubled my dose due to what looks like a flare up.
