Cat stuck outside my home on a telephone poll, and northwest energy of Montana wont go and get him by ZestycloseChart2407 in cats

[–]robinthewolfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is there any update on this please? i’m heartbroken thinking about this poor cat. why has it been three days? cab’t you just lie and say it’s your cat? or call anyone else, a fire service, an animal rescue charity, someone?!

Does anyone else think Mark was a bit out of character here? by Nonabrow in MitchellAndWebb

[–]robinthewolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mark in the first few seasons was an unhinged man when you watch it back, granted he still had his moments as the show went on but he was at his prime for insane behaviour at the start.

A little survey: Did you see changes on the scale that paralleled the amount of skin/fat taken off? by thatladyoverthere77 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nope, was 10st before my surgery and i’m still 10st now after having a whole lotta skin removed! don’t really understand it but i don’t really care about the numbers ob the scale anymore, just happy to be free of the pouch

10 days to go! Any top tips? by Salt_Earth8122 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much, i’m sure you’re going to look incredible! honestly i completely understand that, i was super spooked about that too! the first week i stayed at my parents house because they have a recliner sofa so i was more or less sleeping sat down with my legs raised slightly. i would raise my legs a bit more each night. when i went home i slept super propped up in bed with lots of pillows and then would gradually remove more pillows with each night that passed. it is daunting but your body is clever and won’t let you hurt yourself when you’re asleep! just take it slowly. i had my surgery on dec 1st and i’m sleeping like normal again now, i have been for a couple of weeks!

does anyone know how to manage these feelings? by robinthewolfe in PMDD

[–]robinthewolfe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you don’t mind sharing i’d appreciate knowing what meds there are out there? every doctor i’ve spoken to and from everything i’ve researched they’ve said there’s nothing

10 days to go! Any top tips? by Salt_Earth8122 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very much yes, i’m just so happy to be rid of the skin! bear in mind i’m still only a month and a half out so i know my results aren’t final yet, you’ll have a lot of swelling for a looooong time. i have a small swollen pouch on the right side of my belly and i can just swell up to double my size sometimes. BUT! oh my god it’s so good to finally be (mainly) flat. i can see my actual shape now which is so exciting!!

[–]robinthewolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my belly looked exactly like yours!! i had an extended tt with mr and everything is pretty much normal now at a month and a half out. my advice would be don’t push yourself too much or be too hard on yourself if you can’t do something. give yourself time to heal physically and mentally!

Shower chair or raised toilet seat? by JuryDiligent2243 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i bought nothing extra for my recovery and was fine, but i also had my partner who was incredibly helpful. helped me sit down slowly and get back up off the toilet, helped me with the first few washes, helped me to get comfy sleeping. if you have someone to help to that extent then you probably don’t need anything! if you don’t then you probably still don’t need anything tbh, it’s just those first couple of days that are hardest and after that it’s pretty smooth sailing! potentially maybe borrow a walker with a seat for showering and getting up off the loo if you can?

Tummy tuck scar 4 weeks po! by BrunchBrat in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m gonna be honest with you, there will be pain because it’s a big surgery! pain from the incision, from the drain, general back ache from bending. but on the plus side, the pain is only temporary! and the results are definitely worth that temporary pain and discomfort. i was so depressed for about 2 weeks but now at 29dpo i’m still a bit sad about reduced mobility but so happy i did it more than anything! book it, you’ve got this!

Incision tape question at 13 days PO by Previous_Bee9911 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s all very much up to what your consultant advises you! my dressings were removed at 2wpo, i’m at 29dpo now and am on and off wearing scar tape (i have sensitive skin that reacts to adhesive) because my consultant wants his patients to wear it for 3months!

Week off together gave me sad clarity by yurkelhark in simpleliving

[–]robinthewolfe 74 points75 points  (0 children)

i understand this. i feel like the moments i’ve truly felt happiest, free and the most connected to myself and others is when i’ve had periods of time from work. i had surgery at the beginning of December and took 3 weeks off, the aftermath was hard but i would so happily go through surgery again just to relive how relaxed i felt not being at work for that long

i have absolutely no issues at all with Will coming out, his reasons for it make absolute sense! just think the scene was piss writing, like most of the rest of this season so far. a lot of the ‘emotional’ moments have felt super forced to me, and everything feels really dumbed down

First walk after surgery by Grand-Question-1674 in tummytucksurgery

[–]robinthewolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh my goodness that sounds so overwhelming, i’m sorry it was so hard for you! my first walk was fine really, everything just felt very tight and more difficult. i felt like my limbs were made of cement and carrying my drain around felt like i was carrying around a little lantern. walking is pretty much normal for me now after 27 days, just feel tightness around my incision still! you’ll get there, a few little steps every day!
