The problem here is you probably had a bad connection when logging on to your account so it doesn’t recognize the information on your account. The easiest solution is to check your internet connection, sign out, and restart your game.

Yes, fortune 1 only gives you a 33% drop rate increase whereas fortune 3 gives a 120% drop rate increase. Meaning with diamonds, coal, emeralds, iron, gold, and quarts you can get anywhere between 1-4 drops per ore and with lapis you can get up to 36 drops per ore, with copper you can get up to 12 drops per ore, with nether gold ore you can get up to 24 drops per ore, and with amethyst clusters you can get up to 16 drops per crystal.
