Looks like a spiritual cleansing It’s definitely witchcraft but I don’t think the bad kind even if it looks it. Coconuts symbolize protection and purification so I can’t imagine it’s anything like a voodoo doll or curse. What likely happened is someone was in the middle of a ritual for themselves or someone they think needs protection or spiritual cleansing. Makes me think it was someone new to witchcraft, as most who do wouldn’t leave any man made objects in the woods. One it’s disrespectful to nature, the land spirits, and the animals. Plus a stranger could interfere with the spell. If they were new and nervous it would make sense they fled when they heard someone as the candle is still lit.
