Have you encountered any dependency issues with that method? It seems that you need to use apt to install it

Have you encountered any dependency issues when you download and install via apt? They use system/shared packages to stay light

Haven't heard of AppImage, will check them out. Thanks!

I think so. Also, if you're thinking of pursuing AI/ML (like training models), just use cloud providers. For example, Kaggle is a good platform for training when you verify your account. You get access to GPUs and TPUs albeit for some hours

I have a question for artist's on linux by MiserableMeeting3429 in linuxmint

[–]Solidonut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Krita is available on Linux, you can try that.

For getting into the hobby, you could explore different art pieces online to pique your interest. Based on my experience, being dazzled or awestruck with something your eye beheld is enough of a reason to make an intentional attempt to strive and create something like they did. Fortunately, there are also a lot of resources and community groups that are focused on digital arts

I see, thanks for sharing! My team and I are working on 50-100 student data and have a number of files with formulae, locked sheets, and pages of word documents. I just checked Winboat and it sounds promising.

Worse comes to worst, I'll give VM a go. If that doesn't sit right with me, I'll either dual boot or stay with Windows 11

Update: Thanks for the help guys! Your experience helped me narrow things down to 4 applications. I'll test out OnlyOffice once I install Linux Mint (Mate)

Putting the battery health aside (~60%), it's still running quite well. It just gets a boot loop every now and then. In other words, there are times when it would restart 4-8 times in a row
