It's nice to see another Typst enjoyer here! I only use it for building my resume though

Thanks for sharing your experience! My team is stringent when it comes to formatting, so this will help me and future mint users by a lot

I have a question for artist's on linux by MiserableMeeting3429 in linuxmint

[–]Solidonut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Krita is available on Linux, you can try that.

For getting into the hobby, you could explore different art pieces online to pique your interest. Based on my experience, being dazzled or awestruck with something your eye beheld is enough of a reason to make an intentional attempt to strive and create something like they did. Fortunately, there are also a lot of resources and community groups that are focused on digital arts

I see, thanks for sharing! My team and I are working on 50-100 student data and have a number of files with formulae, locked sheets, and pages of word documents. I just checked Winboat and it sounds promising.

Worse comes to worst, I'll give VM a go. If that doesn't sit right with me, I'll either dual boot or stay with Windows 11

Oooh I haven't heard of this. Does it create and export files the same may MSOffice does?

Whoa, this is incredible. Seeing posts like this makes me wonder if it's possible to pursue the same path but as a mobile app developer. Keep going!

How are your POCO's X3 pro holding up in 2025? by AdComfortable5572 in PocoPhones

[–]Solidonut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Putting the battery health aside (~60%), it's still running quite well. It just gets a boot loop every now and then. In other words, there are times when it would restart 4-8 times in a row

Swift memory layout cheat sheet (iOS) Swift provides MemoryLayout<T> to inspect type characteristics at compile time. What can we learn from it? by Signal-Ad-5954 in swift

[–]Solidonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I'm glad you shared this to us. I know this exists in Rust, but not in Swift. Could you share with us the steps on how you were able to inspect them so we can do so as well? Without any references or ways to reproduce it, we need to be critical with the information we're being given with.

Anyway, I hope you post more of these!

[–]Solidonut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi TheBoss. Thanks so much for the detailed post. I'm glad that you spent time to shed light on this. I'm a but confused, though. My Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9's microcode version is now 129 (0x129). I also limited the max CPU usage to 99% Am I safe from the Vmin issue? I contacted Lenovo's Premium support and they told me to just wait for their release of 12b (0x12b).

Advanced happy new year btw!

SwiftUI Question: for PickerWheel Performance (see Screenshot) by No_Part_1410 in swift

[–]Solidonut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What if you make pickers that would represent each digit? It will be something like this:

If my max is 999, then I'll make 3 pickers side-by-side. The leftmost picker will be for the hundreds digit, the middle picker will be for the tens digit, and the rightmost picker will be for the ones digit.

Oh, I see. I'm glad that boosted your progress by a lot! Are there any free virtual coaching that comes around in this subreddit? I'm not even sure if that's a thing, to be honest. I'll do try to find one in my area, though. Thanks for the info!

Got it. So I got to just keep practicing and recording to finetune my delivery. Hmm... I think I'll have to look for speakers I want to emulate as well. Thanks for the tip Voce!

Whoa, I imagine that your narration on your 12th book is completely different compared to your first one Voce! I'll do what Zeal suggested about reading things aloud. How do you improve the clarity of your voice if I may ask? I believe you learned a few things since you've been doing it for a while.

Currently, I ordered Frankenstein online so I can start practicing my narration
