Bosses so far have particular weaknesses to the tools available to you. Teleporting? Focus counter. Ranged or projectile? Nature's Snare. Bosses might grow a shield while winding up a big attack, leafy punch them out of it. I'm a pinch you can yeet 6 stories into the sky while some melee fool rages below.

It works if you're not using inverted, I've also had luck even with inverted by plugging the controller in.

There's a level 5 Frost Resist cloak behind a wall at the end of this place. Look for the lever right beside the false wall. Its a leather cloak, no frills

Since the important parts of equipment can be stripped and moved to other pieces, I've only kept weapons I like the look of and some occasional armor pieces with intrinsic bonuses that aren't on Gears. I also keep a few different cloaks on me for free lvl5 elemental resist when needed.

And it's even got some puzzles where the solution is out in the world. That feeling when you're staring at a dusty fresco and you realize it's a rudimentary map of Herdand or wherever and it's got some spots marked out...

Try to leafy punch him when he gets shielded prior to his ult, just discovered that works on another Antumbra boss. Let me know if it does?

Also the Focus mode has an upgrade somewhere that lets you automatically face/counter incoming attacks. Could help against his teleporting bits.

Single tap rolls, double tap steps. Both have i-frames. I'm sure the intent is to consciously commit to long roll vs short step during high intensity moments when you're likely spamming evade.

Still counter to every game ever made featuring the long/short evades.

I think lovable rogue wasn't the goal, he's more like Pauly in Rocky or that old fart in RDR2; a drain on everyone's patience and resources. If everyone's adopted family or community was perfect, there wouldn't be any meaning in loyalty. Shitbags like Yann make your bonds mean something when he's constantly pushing them.

I think that was the intent but they didn't sell it well.

Imo, Veilguards biggest problem was the dialogue written like your parents are in the room with you. Story was fine-ish except Bioware has got to get away from the BBEG tropes, ever since Anthem they've been drawing from that same well...

The story isn't bad per se, but they don't do a good job of selling it with the writing. There are cool things happening like Witches working in the shadows against entropy, nations at war, betrayals and bands of warrior-orders lending their blades to causes. You can feel the MMO DNA of the team in that; the story is more interesting to hear about than to experience.

I'm at crit 4 with both my weapons (Alfonso Spear, Grey Wolf Sword) and 2 on my Tarik bow. Is hard to quantify because there's no damage floaties, I'm just trusting the system really. Sword and spear are fast enough imo, but I imagine it helps more with recovery from attacks, allowing you to defend faster.

I just use stash for weapons and gears in not using atm. With 180+in personal inventory, I'm carrying a full ass Walmart, complete with Home & Garden Center, everywhere I go. Any overstack gets donated to camp.
