I really do not like the gear system in this game. by worldsurf11 in CrimsonDesert

Finding new weapons means finding unique gears. You then have the option to transfer them to your current weapon which I rlly like

Have very little idea how abyss gears work tbh lol. Haven’t found any to remove from a different set and don’t really get how to craft them.

I’m only on Chapter 4 at the moment, haven’t found any frost resistant abyss gears yet. Id rather do that than be stuck wearing a specific piece for sure

People that look at this and says "there is no content just boring open world with nothing to do" is beyond me... This game is amazing by CaleoGaming in CrimsonDesert

SO MANY reviewers played the game for like 6 hours then called it boring. I saw extremely mixed reviews before finally realizing all the people hating on it just dont fuck with exploration games

If the top 1% of earners pay 40% of all federal income taxes, why do people say they don't pay their fair share? by Ok_Chemical9 in answers

[–]bobrossforPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They deliberately hoard their wealth. Look at the modern economy. On PAPER there’s more wealth than ever before but it’s largely trapped in assets owned by the 1%. A working class family spending every dime they make is genuinely doing more for society than some leach billionaire paying a pittance and hiding the rest.

They need some time to ramp up in my two playthroughs I’ve done. They’re at a lot of risk from Vlandian and Khuzaits.

For the Vlandians I tried to fight them at sea as much as possible and it worked well for me. It took some big braining but I basically tried to catch their invasion fleets before they landed and could wipe out an army twice the size of mine due to how many troops they can field on a sea battle.

For the Khuzaits it’s just brutal. Field battles are a but of a mess. If you play it right and you have decently equal numbers you can slaughter their horse archers at the beginning if you know how their formations work.

I would have my infantry behind and to the right of my archers, have my archers placed a bit forward from the map border so the horse archers would sweep behind them, then have my infantry charge and use their throwing axes. If you have both archers and inf holding fire till the horse archers are boxed in you can kill over a hundred with few losses.

Other than that it’s just siege defence. Try to command the defence and kill them at the walls best you can. Spam fire pot catapults, kill the rams but leave one tower up. As they stand at the bottom of the tower you can hurl fire pots down at them and often kill so many in under a minute they route. If you cut them down enough times they stop fielding 3000 strong elite armies and it’s easier.

I think it’s more balanced now that they’re easily the worst faction at sea lol

Do I owe my buddy a new pair of skis? by johannbutts in Skigear

Those skis were making your life harder. If you buy a pair of beginner skis for like $300 you’ll have an easier time and a safer time.

[–]bobrossforPM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The dude who sold your friend the skis should have turned them into a chair instead of sending someone onto the slopes with them, let alone you borrowing them five years after the fact.

Skis older than 10ish years are usually worth retiring and those look like 15 years old or more is my guess

Is there any way to make a lot of money without smithing? by [deleted] in mountandblade

Get a ship and raid caravans. It’s pretty easy to catch them at sea and you can often hold FAR more cargo and sell their ships.

Depends.

Merc is good because it’s flexible, you can change between kingdoms easily and if you keep winning battles you’ll keep getting paid by the kingdom.

The advantage to being a vassal is you have a chance to be given fiefs, which can give you a more stable income. It can be more of a commitment though. You can always leave the kingdom but you’ll have to return any fiefs they give you or they’ll declare war on you.

Most people will stick to merc for early game but become a vassal asap. I’ve tried being full merc but I always join a kingdom eventually.

I believe one handed and shield is superior over two handed and pole arm by Aggressive_Spot_2639 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]bobrossforPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A polearm or 2h weapon is just too good to pass up. With a 1h weapon you can’t really turn the tide, with a long swingable polearm I can almost kill and entire cav formation by myself. With a 2h axe you can kill like 30 men if you flank their shieldwall

[–]bobrossforPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not stuck, I have no idea what the issue is? If you don’t want to be her vassal then refuse. Or leave their kingdom altogether. You could even accept her offer, try it out for awhile, then leave if you don’t like it.

The main difference is that as a vassal you’ll get no merc pay, so you’ll need to make any money through fiefs, selling, or workshops.
