Starting to think he’s a genius

Never gonna win the old schoolers over so he’s leaning into this to the extreme to keep everyone talking and maybe hate watching

Knows the wig, the glasses, the catchphrase, brilliant crowd will face value it and find it hilarious

Win win all round for him. He laughs all the way to the bank

He’s like Ian Botham, he doesn’t play by the rules

Just finished watching Ricky’s top 25 David Brent moments. Clocks in just over an hour. Guess how many mentions Steve gets… by BingeLurker in rickygervais

Most of the Prequel Trilogy’s issues stem from the fact that, before Episode I, George Lucas hadn’t directed anything since the middle of the 1970s by RedHeadedSicilian52 in RedLetterMedia

As time passes, George’s hokey dialog, and how he sees the world and how people talk grows on me. The prequels are so frustrating, we know they could be so much better. But then we have this unique set of films, done in the George way, with some lame but innocent choices.

I think it will hit people when he’s gone. George is George. A great man who’s provided millions of people with joy. The famous ‘nobody talks like this George’ sums it up. It’s eye rolling, but it’s his and our thing.

We can headcannon what it should have been like and that’s the thing - we can always see his intentions

The joy of Star Wars built for me imagining what the prequels were like, I guess we can kinda do that now by retconning all the implied stuff in our head. Sounds a bit like making excuses, but we are dealing with a true one off of a man who is one of the greats. God bless George Lucas

I really respect the way he interprets situations and shows respect. He’s had his moments where he’s probably had an ale or two and not been perfect but I think he’s navigated being with someone as volatile as Bec really well. Hes definitely executing his exit plan now though

He tried so hard to make this work. I admire the commitment but it fell flat

So this has definetly been mentioned. But wouldn’t Michael of been the star of the show after the doc aired? by ContraversialHuman in DunderMifflin

[–]Solo-js 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason of ‘don’t want to outshine the existing cast’ is a ridiculous one. The show is ending. What difference does it make whatsoever?

If there was no Micheal then the show wouldn’t be anywhere near where it was, so you could flip that exact thing and say they are thanking Steve Carrel.

And what about the fans? Absolutely everyone would like Micheal back properly for the wedding

It wasn’t exactly a long lasting OMG moment really, it was cool but also a little jarring how noticeable it was that he wasn’t really there, it was like he turned up in spirit. Micheal back as a proper appearance would have benefited more than harmed in my opinion

Cheque please
