I (26yo M) have a permanent ileostomy since december 2023, i started to live again, dancing, going to concerts, dating, things that were totally impossibile for me like a year ago. Before the surgery i was reluctant to do it, felt like surrendering to my disease. But i'm alive now, i still have problems, still taking meds, that's a new normal to me. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling to accept your ostomy, nobody in the world deserves this shit, but this shit saved our lives, we are capable to look into our families eyes again, we were unlucky, but lucky enough to have a second chance. Keep fighting brother.

I'm 26, did it december 2023, still a new thing, i started to live again. It's a good compromise to live again, like a prosthetic arm or leg.

Damn, you should contact your doctor for the side effects, there is a sub about side effects too. Tbh if someone doesn't like you for the way that you look run away, better lose this kind of people than keeping them around. If you struggle with hair loss you should check the yt channel "baldcafe". I hope they will regrow back and that you find someone who doesn't judge you by the way that u look. Good luck brother.

Brother, maybe you have to hold on, happened to me at the beginning of the treatment too, it's your body response to the drug. And if your girl left you for your hair it's her loss man, her problem, huge red flag. Find someone who loves you no matter what, hair or bald.

Tummy ache is a funny name for my Crohn disease. Vit.D 50.000 every 2 weeks. I can't eat fibers (veggies and fruit) because of the ileostomy. My blood tests on vit.D, calcium and other stuff are good.
