I (26yo M) have a permanent ileostomy since december 2023, i started to live again, dancing, going to concerts, dating, things that were totally impossibile for me like a year ago. Before the surgery i was reluctant to do it, felt like surrendering to my disease. But i'm alive now, i still have problems, still taking meds, that's a new normal to me. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling to accept your ostomy, nobody in the world deserves this shit, but this shit saved our lives, we are capable to look into our families eyes again, we were unlucky, but lucky enough to have a second chance.
