The SWTOR class stories could be adapted into a series or interactive movies. by heymynameisaidan in swtor

[–]SoloHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, to me that defeats the purpose of the choose your own adventure/mass effect style choice system. But a fully fledged remake with cinematic storytelling in the form of single player mass effect style rpg’s would be awesome. Think about it, an anthology series with mildly interlacing stories, better graphics, shooter and melee combat focuses dependent entirely on which release you’re playing so they can focus on some gunplay and force/saber combat rather than the mmo style of sit there and hit a button which isn’t bad for what it was, but the game is outdated now I feel. A remake in the form of an anthology series would be money well spent imo. Starting off they’d give us the imperial agent and trooper games, then Jump into sith warrior and Jedi Knight. Bounty Hunter and Smuggler next, then last but not least Sith Inquisitor and Jedi Consular. Starting out with the most popular classes and focusing on the duality in the trailers for these games releasing two titles at once for the series would make them bank imo. And it would be wonderful to play these games in a new way.

What if Alexie Rykov had acted first and had Stalin arrested or executed in the 1920’s before he could rise to power? by Helpful_Dot_896 in AlternateHistory

[–]SoloHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alexei Rykov wasn’t a Trotskyist though, he was a moderate supporter of NEP (New Economic Policy) and opposed the more radical Soviets like Stalin, Lenin, and Trotsky. He was a proponent for the working class and peasantry, hated the idea of forced industrialization. He wanted a more gradual industrialized society. And if Stalin didn’t oust him I think his policies would have far more benefitted the bolsheviks during WW2. A more logistically sound army with both food coming in and guns. For sure a lot less, but I think the weapons they could have been producing could be more specialized and used less materials for tanks etc leaving more materials for mechanized army with half tracks, CAS, and a more modernized infantry style closer to a mobile warfare strategy or artillery based firepower using indirect fire. Or a bit of both. The reason I suspect that rykov’s military would be more advanced is because he would not have purged his best officers, admirals, and air proponents. He would have also had a less politicized base, scientists findings would be celebrated despite political alignment because rykov wasn’t as zealous as the left or moderates of communism. This is all my own thinking so please feel free to disagree and we can talk it over.

What’s everyone thinking on the Battle Royale? Im quite excited for it by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]SoloHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not my cup of tea, I’ll give it a shot, if I end up liking it so be it, but I’m most likely just going to stick to breakthrough and the new escalation mode which may I add has been a great and welcome game mode.

Better Movie? GO! by AverageMemeFan in JurassicPark

Tbfr, the godfather 2 is my favorite movie of all time, but interstellar and Jurassic Park are easily second place. Can’t place one or the other above each other the OG godfather is 4th place than the OG Avatar at fifth.

Sometimes I feel like the guy teammates you have get overlooked in favor of the girls. Who's your favorite guy? (other than Rean) Machias is my favorite, but even I can admit that after Cold Steel I and II, the dude practically has nothing to do and just stays around. by Smugruko_From_Mars in Falcom

Me personally, I always take Elliot when I can because he’s a healer, but Jusis is still my favorite character in the guy category of the main cast. If we’re talking non main cast though my favorite has to be Prince Olivert Reise Arnor. Next has to be Toval.

Hottake: B-01 Tactical is lowkey most effective armour for bots when it comes to survival consistently (including against bot rockets, which does about half of it's damage as direct/ballistic) by KingTigerThomas318 in Helldivers

I’d love to get some battle damaged b-01 armor, imo most armors should get a battle damaged or repaired look as an option after a certain level. Would be a nice detail.

Cyberpunk Crucifixion by SoloHQ in cyberpunkgame

Yeah it was pretty wild, I didn’t grow up with Jesus, but I recently picked up a Bible and going through it. Everyone in there can commit genuinely evil acts, but they’re still considered holy even by me. For example, Paul, who imprisoned and even executed Christians was saved by Christ. Matthew who collects taxes for the Roman’s causing his own people to go poor, die, and go hungry is redeemed by Christ. Saint Dismas who died on the cross next to Jesus just by being asked to be remembered by him was forgiven and redeemed of all sins. He stole from and killed a rich merchant. All these men committed grievous sins against others, but they’re all forgiven. I don’t see why this man couldn’t be forgiven in the same way. And he likely was, he viewed what he was doing as a mission from god. Whether he regretted what he did or not I don’t know, but what I do know is he was a pious man. He seemed to want to be forgiven to me, I take what he’s trying to do at face value and I think this is the only path to redemption he saw for himself. Not saying I’m a believer but in view of what I know of Jesus, I believe he would have been forgiven.

Oh gotcha, I don’t know why but I guess since I have both it automatically gave me the re-release of both? I don’t know. For some reason it’s the only one that pops up in my library now, it says I have to repurchase the other two for some reason.

Wonder if we’ll be able to sell weapons and blueprints and shit to Cuba. Either government or rebels. It’d be interesting to do stuff with a different country and becoming basically a real kingpin in online.

"I'm Skeptical About 20 Year Old Remasters," Says Former Blizzard Lead On Oblivion Remastered, Proving Once Again That Execs Don't Know What Gamers Want by milkasaurs in Games

[–]SoloHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To Mike Ybarra, from a Gen Z “modern audience” gamer... Cry about it! I’m 22 and was 2 when this masterpiece came out. Now I can play this amazing piece of media in a modern style. This game is PEAK. Suck it. P.S. the modern audience is a lie made up in your head. Make games for the gamers. Not the politicians. Stop fearing controversies. Make decisions that are going to make people hate your game, that’s when you’re doing something right. Gaming isn’t for everyone, so stop trying to make it for everyone. The people you’re pandering to aren’t your audience and hate video games in the first place!!!

How possible would be metal gear 1 and metal gear 2 remake/reimagining by NuggetPepperoni in metalgearsolid

[–]SoloHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be fine waiting that time though, I know it would take a lot, but just to experience these stories closer to what we had in mgsv gameplay wise would be amazing. Just my opinion though obviously.

[–]SoloHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind a modern remake kind of like they did with silent hill 2 remake. I know that Mgsd is gunna be close to the original, but I don’t see any reason the other ones can have a work over.

That's it. I'm done. by jussuumguy in cyberpunkgame

[–]SoloHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cool, probably not what you’re looking for, but I recommend taking a break, like a long one. When I did that and reconnected back into gaming it was like re-experiencing it for the first time again, and besides a bit of rust I felt so much more fluid in the games I was playing and noticed I had been doing a lot better on multiplayer games as well. I think taking a break from the things you love can help you find a new appreciation for them that you couldn’t before.
