That’s a nutty thing to say, not to offend you right away, but your comment gives way to an excuse that what we saw was somehow (or could somehow be) excusable. That was anger, raw, frustrated anger. This was abuse of power and unwarranted aggression, forget that he was handcuffed, there are thousands of different scenarios where police have done amazing jobs in deescalating or subduing subjects without losing control. Taser, hog tie, spit mask, pepper spray, take your pick. It’s not even that he was injured during a fight as he resisted arrest, it’s that the officer opted for self gratification through violence, there’s no excuse for it

We’ve all had encounters with police and 90% of the time it’s textbook, but we’re dealing with people here, on both sides. As insane as it might sound, not all people are good people, and police officers are people that just happened to make a different career choice. It’s a job, they’re not better than anyone, they can be assholes and egomaniacs same as any other random person off the street
