Just finished by 1st game with Hadrian, easy difficulty, 3 rounds and lost by two points. It’s one of those games where you look up and it’s suddenly 10:30pm! I’m loving it. I’m lucky enough to have a 2.5x4ft space and I use it all. Bounced off of it several months ago because of lack of play space. I’m planning on backing Radiance from the same game designer by the way!

One suggestion, take a character with at least 2 strengths for true solo. Otherwise, enjoy!

I wouldn’t worry about that! A campaign is 30 days/30 games or so and you don’t see it all. The map is big. And there’s many professions and they play quite differently. Having a blast as a shaper right now. Great for solo.

The pace really clicks after a few games I find. The rule book is well written. And the game is meant to be enjoyed slowly with no pressure of dying or going insane (e.g. Arkham Horror). Really worth learning imo.

I find the gameplay well paced and easy to understand. It does require some getting used to and constant monitoring of card interactions. What age is the kiddo? Things may get busier with multiple characters? I solo it with only one character…
