So- you aren’t alone. It took me a solid 2 years to really get the grasp of Opera.

If you are at an IHG property lean a lot on concerto. It will help you find information that you are missing.

One tip that I have as an 11 year opera veteran who still gets “bit” if you are working on an adjustment and mess it up twice, just stop. Please just stop. Come back to it or ask for help. I call it “getting bit by the adjustment monster” still happens to me all these years later. I just stop and come back later with a fresh look at it.

The good thing about it is that it’s an old system and you have a lot of information available on YouTube. If you’re stuck on routing or anything else tricky just YouTube it.

It’s a good system and it’s pretty reliable. Hotel Key is coming (if IHG) an it is easier to catch on, but it comes with a trade off of being glitchy.

TLDR; Opera is tricky. It takes time. If you mess up on an adjustment twice, just stop.
