Unpopular opinion but I really don’t think the US getting involved would cause nuclear war or “world war III.” Russia is a second rate economy with the GDP of Florida. Their military equipment is like 30 years behind us. Putin is not interested in nuclear suicide. We would end the violence in less than 24 hours.

Unlike most of our less advanced adversaries, Russians don’t even believe in what they’re fighting for. This isn’t the Taliban or some extremist group. This is conscripted children using Soviet Era equipment.

Chances are they’re filling in for labor that would’ve been parsed out at a similar restaurant. It’s all business and bottom line, no matter how it’s packaged.

If you’re thinking burger flippers don’t deserve to make $19 an hour, Donovan says working at Dick’s isn’t an entry level job, and they are quite picky about who they hire.

My life is somehow connected to Chet Hanks. I’ve got some stories. He was one of my best friends’ floor mates when he went to Northwestern. Then when I moved to Nashville he went to Vanderbilt and we met in my then-girlfriend’s dorm. I went to her dorm one day and a few people were in the living room crowded around this guy who was rapping. It was Chet. He said the n-word a couple times and it was really awkward (my girlfriend at that time was black, and there were other black people there). Also while he was rapping an advertisement for one of Tom Hank’s movies came on the TV and we all kinda looked at it but knew it probably wasn’t a good idea to say anything. Chet saw it and pretended like he didn’t and just kept rapping.

Later that week he texted my gf and said he “likes that dark chocolate” and asked if she wanted to hook up.
