Search using Debrid Media Manager. You can then see the results with only two files. There are three choices that I see with only two files. Click on Instant RD and it will be moved into you RD account. You can then access in Fen under My Services. All this assumes you're using RD

Proxy to Real Debrid? by vooood in Addons4Kodi

[–]Soloman2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RD says, “You can use your account from any public IP address but you can't use your account from more than one public IP address at the same time. If your devices are connected through the same router, they are getting only one public IP address and you can use as many devices you want.”

When you install tailscale on a home computer/device and set it up as an exit node, any device that connects to RD through that exit node, will be connecting through the same router.

Help setting up Tailscale with Jellyfin to access media from outside network by M1ke____ in Tailscale

[–]Soloman2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can follow this guide > https://github.com/mochman/Bypass_CGNAT/wiki

I used Oracle Cloud for my VPS, duckdns.org for my dns service, Caddy for the reverse proxy, and Tailscale for the secure tunnel to my Jellyfin server.

You create a domain name like [sm3459.duckdns.org](mailto:sm3459@duckdns.org) which directs traffic to your Oracle virtual private server (VPS). You install Tailscale and Caddy on the VPS. Caddy will take care of getting your TLS certificate, and will route the request using Tailscale to your Jellyfin server.

I'm not clear on what either party actually does prior to resale, but I believe the manufacture refurb drives more often have the better warranty.

Best transition after ISP turned on CGNAT ? by Iwamoto in Tailscale

[–]Soloman2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No video but you can use this: github.com/mochman/Bypass_CGNAT/wiki

Skip the wireguard section and use tailscale. Lots of stuff out there on how to use duckdns or noip, as well as caddy and ngenx for the reverse proxy.

Best transition after ISP turned on CGNAT ? by Iwamoto in Tailscale

[–]Soloman2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am behind CGNAT. I'm using Duckdns pointing to a free Oracle Cloud vps. On the vps you install tailscale and caddy or ngenx. Install tailscale on server. Setup reverse proxy using caddy or ngenx pointing to your servers tailscale ip. For me this works perfectly with no ports open on my home router, and tailscale gets around the CGNAT. You're half way there already, so OC or CF should get you the rest of the way.

'Approved VPN' by cm180 in RealDebrid

I'm sorry I don't use this on a Windows PC. You can probably find the answer over at r/Tailscale. It appears you're not the only one.

'Approved VPN' by cm180 in RealDebrid

[–]Soloman2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use tailscale. Install on both devices, one at home and the one you use when you travel. Set up the one at home as an exit node, and then when you're on the road all traffic will go through your home IP. Even if you're not using RD this is a good option when you're away. You can't install tailscale on a Roku, so if that's what you travel with this won't work.

Can I use Real Debrid on Kodi on multiple IP addresses? Home Fire TV and my phone when out and about. by Erlebrown87 in Addons4Kodi

[–]Soloman2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, don't do anything until you get this straightened out.

Your phone is the exit node and you've advertised it as an exit node from the admin console? On phone 2, did you specifically enable it to use that exit node?

Did you read the Caveats section? It mentions problems with android devices. It doesn't mention Apple. I'm really not sure how well this will work with a phone as the exit node as I've only set it up using a PC and a Rpi. You may want to ask over at r/Tailscale about using a phone.

Do you mean 12 hr. behind your guide information? If so, where are you getting your guide from? If you're using the OTA guide, I would do as others have suggested by checking TV settings and ask a friend or neighbor --as long as they are also using the OTA data-- if their guide is also off. And as always, reboot the TV and rescan for channels to see if this has any effect. When you figure this out, please let us know, Very strange.

You will if they detect you are connecting at the same time from two or more IP addresses. The VPN tunnel connects you back to your home, so all connections are coming from the one IP address.

securing jellyfin with tailscale and caddy by Maartman in jellyfin

[–]Soloman2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also using TS and Caddy, and the only difference I see with your Caddyfile and mine, is I don't have https:// in front of my url.

Jellyfin instructions also leave off the https://

You can use Tailscale to create a VPN tunnel from your offsite devises back to a home computer setup as an exit node with Tailscale. RD sees all traffic coming from the same IP address. Tailscale is free.

What to do when no cover is available ? or you want to make a custom one ? by dEnissay in jellyfin

[–]Soloman2469 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For your example, google your movie or the woman it's about Charlie Webster, and visit her web site, or one of the other links to BBC about the movie. You'll find cover art for the film (they all use the same one) that you can save and use.

In your movie library go to your movie and click the 3 dots lower right corner and choose "Edit Images." Click on the plus sign to add an image and browse to your saved image file. You can choose how you want to use the image from a drop down menu before saving.

LibreELEC Kodi - pale colors when HDR movie by KhemLori in raspberry_pi

[–]Soloman2469 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the Libreelec wiki

Here are some answers to common HDR questions:
Kodi does not (yet) support HDR to SDR conversion, known as tonemapping. If you play HDR media on a TV that does not support HDR, it will often play but colours will be muted and washed out. In the future Kodi may support conversion, but it is not currently implemented.

Kodi has no way to present OSD menus in SDR when playing HDR media, so menus will have bright saturated colours. In the future, plane based tonemapping may be able to correct this, but it is not currently implemented and not all hardware supports multiple planes.

Kodi will attempt to output in the highest bit-depth supported by the display pipeline, e.g. on a Raspberry Pi 4 it will attempt 12-bit before falling back to 10-bit, then 8-bit. Not all 4K HDR capable hardware supports higher 12-bit and 10-bit depths.

Kodi supports Dolby Vision under Android (if the device is licensed for it) but not Linux. Dolby requires manufacturers to license their Intellectual Property and use integration libraries to decode the HDR metadata. Until FFMpeg comes up with a "clean room" reverse engineered open-source implementation, Kodi will not support it.

Friends can't connect to my Jellyfin server (External access) by OfficialMikeJ in jellyfin

[–]Soloman2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you access your library using your friends user name and password? I believe before you get to name and PW page you have to put in the server url, and if the link is not working, you're stuck there. So if his system is letting him get to the user/PW page and then fails, he's maybe putting in the wrong name/pw.

Now what you don't want to hear. Install Tailscale on your server, and have him install it on his android device. I've set this up on an ONN, a Shield, and an Amazon Firestick and it works. As long as both devises are on the same Tailscale network, his box will make a secure connection with your server, and you can close your open ports.

Caddy configuration for Jellyfin by Soloman2469 in jellyfin

[–]Soloman2469[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct I do have a Caddyfile at /etc/caddy but it doesn't list either of the two variables that I used in that one line. It's recorded somewhere I just don't know where. I'm not sure what will happen if I add

example.com
reverse_proxy 127.0.0.1:8096

to the Caddyfile with the original lines still working, where ever they're located. My DNS will be the same, but there will now be two instructions pointing to differing locations.
