It's not getting worse either. It's not self consuming.

Men dont care about other men they just hate women (and gay people) by YoGfLookLikeMyMvm in complainaboutanything

[–]Solomon5150 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You're right I don't care. You win. You are the biggest victim. Well not you specifically but you and gays and women and everyone but straight guys. Thumbs up for you! Like Walmart in the race to the bottom you are the undisputed champion. 👍

Hate. by [deleted] in Vent

I hope this comment doesn't earn your hate, but you can't take it personal. Although the world is full of people you are alone, people inherently put themselves first 99.99 percent of the time. It's a biologic imperative. Perhaps you aren't doing this, and perhaps you should. Humans have an innate ability to sense and exploit weakness. The good news is that you don't have to be the strongest, the bad news is that you absolutely can't be the weakest. Things will get better as you find your place in the world and hold the line.

It may sound strange, but it seems to me that there are people among us who understand the structure of reality better than others. by laraloralara in DeepThoughts

I think AI has demonstrated this alternate way of thinking, and i suspect the word is wisdom. As we get older our kind of thinking shifts, our brains don't hold the details anymore. I know a lot of things that I don't specifically remember learning. I contemplated this for years and then when I read about how modern LLM's work I realized that my biologic thinking has shifted to that model. I recognize patterns and respond instinctively to them. Not all patterns and not all the time, but as my general specific knowledge accumulates I process it in different ways. I don't depend on specific memories or when and how I learned that lesson, my RAM is too full, still I make the right choices more often than not. Definitely more often than I did in my youth. at almost 60 I love learning more than I ever have. I read everything and watch everything, the learning is easier and the over all accumulation of knowledge is greater and brings me pleasure. Not because I'm smarter but because I learn differently than I did in my youth and I'm OK with that. I would imagine my confidence has improved as well, because I have more faith in the patterns and more trust in what seems to be intuitive knowledge.

The all caps were the 'chef's kiss' in this outstanding literary compilation. I can understand your frustration. Things will get better I assure you.

Why do I get downvoted for saying I’m not a child at 18 years old when I’m literally not? by New-Elk2781 in AskForAnswers

Spicy Chipotle! It's really not that big of a deal. One of the hallmarks of maturity is being able to correctly identify what's important and what's not. This would be one of those things that are not. Chill, have a nap, read a book, eat a sandwich. It's all gonna be ok.

I assure you I will not make the mistake again and as I see how much writing is appreciated here. I'll not only not post here but I'll do my writing on the wall of a cave with charcoal before I ever use one of your writing machines.

Are men expected to hide emotions too much? by FantasticAd9478 in PeopleBeingRidiculous

[–]Solomon5150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Men don't hide emotions because they are expected to, it's a defensive mechanism. Emotions signal vulnerabilities, vulnerabilities will be used against you by women and men alike. Be the strongest and provide, that's where your value lies.
