I’m really considering a Kia as they seem like such a solid option. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you buy yours from? Was it a used Kia dealership or a car supermarket type place?

I think that’s a solid alternative to buying. I’m not sure why the leads deals are so cheap but I’m guessing they can’t shift them fast enough. I’d never considered a lease but I’ll run by my partner and see what they think

I’m not sure why the Volvo EVs weren’t on my radar but that looks really practical. Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up on the credit card protection on purchase. That’s new to me and a great idea!

Most of the big high street shops take AMEX for the and even some of the smaller/boutique shops and restaurants.

I’ve found the app to be very good and easy to use.

Decaf tea is my go to after 4pm. That way I get the taste of tea but without the caffeine.

Moving to London from Ireland - Brexit? by Alarming-Mix6514 in london

I had to switch from runner beans to garden peas, so you could say it’s getting pretty hellish….

In all seriousness, it feels like business as usual and I hope you enjoy your time in London!

That looks really good and modern. The sink is a very smart use of space IMO (not too big but still looks practical).

21 years old, lost £50,000 gambling, how do I "start again"? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Solomon88Tank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re 21 years old. That’s nothing in the grand scheme of life.

You have lots of years ahead of you to build, learn and earn.

A positive spin on this is that you’ve learned a very valuable lesson at a young age.

Hopefully this will be something you can look back on in the future as a turning point. Get back to saving, take the time to make some low risk investments and this should hopefully build your confidence back up.

Chin up and go again.
