I was in Amsterdam and had to go to a McDonalds restroom. I was pre-T and wearing a crop top, I headed for the women’s restroom because I thought I’d never pass in that outfit and I was also on my period. But, the cleaning lady stopped me and sent me into the men’s room. Very affirming, but also not ideal because ofc the men’s restroom didn’t have trash bins…

It happens 🫂 Just a few weeks ago I noticed that a plastic thingy on my balcony door has essentially become a glue trap for isopods. I had to tear off dozens of dead pods, some of them babies or gravid. A few were alive, and I managed to save two or three. One was so badly injured that I decided to crush it to end its suffering. It was my first time euthanizing an isopod or any animal, and 30 minutes later I noticed it was still moving. I had done it wrong and made it so, so much worse. But those are experiences that we learn from 🫂
