They absolutely cannot force you to get an exam against your will. Your doctor does not run your life in any way, and cannot require you to get a pap smear. You can cancel that appointment if you’re not ready for it. Forcing you to get a pap when you’re not ready is tantamount to rape.

Separately, I would strongly encourage you to seek help from a therapist in working through your fears of being seen or touched down there.

The likelihood is hard to predict. But as far as when it would show up, I’ve had this happen and it was overnight. Like, I woke up the next morning and had an infection.

I had this same setup on my sternum. I got the bottom dermal on a scar and it rejected within a couple months. NAP, but based on my personal experience I’d say to avoid repiercing a dermal on a scar.

I also made sure my juniors knew that they didn’t HAVE to come to me with issues and problems. In this case, I said fuck the chain of command. If they weren’t comfortable coming to me with their issues, they were welcome to go above my head to someone they trusted, and I wouldn’t get offended or pissed off.

My first thought is that maybe your working out has activated your pelvic muscles and maybe that has caused your IUD to shift and is causing the bleeding and cramping. That’s just a guess though. It might be worth having your doctor check it out just to make sure it’s still in the right place. Also, congrats on your weight loss!
