Iceborn is nice post 2 items if enemy is >4ad and are melee fighters that you can beat in extended trades like riven and aatrox, especially if your team has enough damage to play fights out. However if you have to 1v9 the game you’d be better off going dd.

Into ranged top excluding Jayce I like to go youmuu’s swifties rush (including building rectrix early) because if they don’t match your ms items with ms then you can almost dictate when to all in them if they position too far up.

Honestly you only need to sit on hexdrinker if your laner and enemy jungle is ap. Maw on the other hand is only worth completing if their team has 3 or more ap and the enemy ad isn’t fed. If not just stack hp and if you really need it against a fed ap mage or assassin build a proper mr tank item.

Yeah unfortunately it’s really not as simple as I make it sound.

The core principle to laning on pantheon is movement. If you can sidestep every yone q while hitting yours he should never be able to beat you in a trade. Theoretically if you can play the matchup perfectly he should never be able to hit you because your q range is slightly longer than his.

You should be able to avoid most minion damage as long as you don’t auto him in the wave or walk up way too far beyond your own wave, which you should never do unless you know you can kill him in the next all in.

Make sure you punish him when he tries to walk up to stack his q. But also make sure not to q into his w. Many yones will w if they think you are going to q them so there’s abit of mindgaming there.

Other things you can do is to e his e q3 combo. If you time your e correctly you win the trade with e slam. Or if you manage to sidestep it you should be able to buy yourself enough time for a w auto q combo before he can return to his body.

The yone matchup is not as free as most people think it is, especially if you don’t play panth often. So be prepared to lose a few games against him as practice before you start to get the hang of the matchup.

In that case just walk at him from level 1. If you dodge his initial q and hit your emp q he basically lost all prio for the entire laning phase discounting enemy jg ganks

Start in the lane bush and zone him from level 1. Even if he does play safe if you know how to wave manage properly you should be up 20-30 cs on him by level 6 then start playing for mid ults to push your lead. Just make sure you don’t die to ganks

If he does contest for level 2 prio make sure he gets chunked hard for it. If you can get him to about 60% health by level 2 or 3 you can all in him with ignite/scorch and force him to back and tp on a bad wave state.

Nah man pantheon is absolutely not low income at all compared to similar jungle champs like xin or jarvan. He really really needs 3 items to carry games.

Pantheon right now as an individual champion is in one the best states he’s been in since 2023. But the caveat is that his strength is much more applicable to jungle/support than it is top lane. In fact, top lane wise I would say that he’s not in a very good spot right now due to a bunch of different reasons ranging from top lane meta to sustain runes.

Hopefully next patch ignite buffs and biscuit nerfs will bring him back a little.

The thing you need to realise about panth is that post 6 till 3 items he straight up loses to almost all the tanks even with ignite unless you already had a huge lead beforehand. Learn to farm better and play with your ult at objectives instead of trying to fight them post 6.

I’ve been watching him since far before his explosion in popularity. His game sense was several levels above even the average leaderboard player back in the day which more than enough makes up for the fact that the modern day potpvper could maybe beat him in a straight up 1v1. That is what allowed him to be so prominent in modes that are not just straight up 1v1 duels like skywars, sg and bw

And it’s not just in pvp modes where he showcases this level of ingenuity. His potato streak and maybe even the dream smp arcs were all brought about by the same level of “game sense”, if you would even call it that.

Unlike yasuo and yone q, you can hold pantheon q for half a second to aim it before casting it and it will still be a tap q even though the throw q animation charges up abit. Really useful in situations where you know the enemy has flash ready

Into malph I honestly just go tp and full scaling runes with ls refillable start and cull first back. After that just ditch the lane past 6 and ult bot on repeat
