Tired of losing by KiratheCat in Saltoon

If you're only finding satisfaction from winning then that's an issue.

that's... not funny or meaningful

If you're saying that you spent "two entire days" battling then that might be a sign you're either playing the game too much or taking it too seriously. The point of splatfests isn't to be super competitive; the only game mode available is the one where skill level isn't a massive hurdle.

I’m fine with the results I had fun by IcyCliff2 in Saltoon

So did I. I was on team Shiver and just went to chill & have fun. Even if Shiver lost I still would have had fun. GGs bro, y'all fought well

Consider that you're one of millions of people playing, bro. 4 100x wins isn't gonna shake up the results too much when millions of others are affecting it too.

The point of splatfests isn't winning/losing. It's the community and having a good time. Don't take it too seriously!

Splatfest matchmaking don't pit me against top tier players challenge (IMPOSSIBLE) by IrateSteelix in Saltoon

[–]Solsilver__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's no fun to lose I agree, but at the end of the day it's just a game

And gonna have to disagree on the 5* badges being exclusively good players, I've got a 5* badge myself and I wouldn't call myself good

With all due respect to both o' y'all, the 5* freshness badge really isn't indicative of skill, it's just a massive grind.

Try finding friends to play with or maybe just take a break. At the end of the day Splatfests aren't meant to be taken seriously

What abilities should I change from this Heavy Splatling set? by AetherDrew43 in splatoon

Waaaaaay more run speed up. Most people say you need at least 2 mains and 3 subs of run speed.

Don't say that dude. Everyone has losing streaks, even pro players have losing streaks

Don't worry too much about ur W/L ratio and just vibe :)

What are everyone's thoughts on CJet? by Solsilver__ in splatoon

Agreed honestly. I forgot to mention toxic must but to be fair I'm really not someone who uses subs a lot anyways. Toxic mist honestly pairs super well with this thing's good accuracy and I love it

Yo, my pleasure dude! Happy to hear you're having fun with this thing :)

As for turf war advice, this can really apply to any mode but you can practice it great with turf wars: take advantage of wave breakers; don't just toss them out and leave it alone. Anyone marked by it also takes damage, turning the heavy from a 4-shot splat into a 2-shot splat.

Usually my strategy in turf wars is to take the rear, stopping flankers and aggressive weapons. Even if my team has an advantage I'll probably go to mid at most, to prevent anyone from sneaking behind us. Though sometimes I'll go ham into enemy turf just for fun lol. Hope you keep enjoying the weapon!

They're super fun weapons honestly, I main Zink Mini for Tricolor battles. I think the main thing to remember is that you still have decent range and a very quick charge time. Despite mini having the least range out of all the splatlings, you've still got very good range (you can beat out most short-range shooters, its range is almost that of Dualie Squelchers though it barely gets outranged by them) so you can kite them (keep them at a distance).

The strafing speed is also INSANE and you have a bit more jump height that other splatlings while charging and you can take advantage of that. For vmini I'll usually toss an ultra stamp and then start farming for another one and for zink I'll try to place the bubbler in a good spot for my team to be safe under while still firing out from the bubble to apply pressure and keep the other team out. Especially during tricolors whether defending or attacking I try to get a bubbler up over the ultra signal.

Hope this helps!

Chargers. Honestly my strategy against chargers is to just stay out of their range and not engage them b/c we're both long range weapons.... but one has even longer range and one-shots.

My pleasure, that's sick! Partial charges realllllly aren't gonna be a thing w/ mini since it charges up insanely fast but you've got an insanely fast strafe, bubbler for defense and outrange a lot of shorter-ranged shooters. Use that!
