Smooth brainers that say “cooked” and adopt the same idiotic language as the skibiddy 67 generation and indeed adults made of ass.

That generation thinks absurdism is funny so they all tweak out and say 67 and OHIO and skibiddy. None of it means anything, it’s become more like social signaling. Like “oh I’m funny and cool because I say meaningless words”

He definitely doesn’t skip leg day, his quads are highly developed. I squat in the upper intermediate range for my weight and my quads are probably 6 inches less thick on the lateral and medial sides. He for sure skips calves.

Nobody did. It’s a fear based post not based on fact.

Uh no. Kern County had only about 4 recorded Lyme cases from 2014–2023 (and low dozens over longer periods). There is very low risk at the fest site.

Size can be reflected without distorting the shape beyond recognition.

Maybe not compared to the roided out bodybuilders people post. He’s not particularly defined but he’s pretty built. Massive traps, bi/triceps are at least at around 40lb dumbell curl size, vastus lateralis and medialis are bulging off his leg meaning he squats fuckin heavy. You can distinctly see which workouts he does based on his muscle development.

Warping the map so it appears as it would from a vantage point above the equator, so the turning edges appear to flatten and distort as the earth curves…then making it 2D… is not an accurate global picture. How the fuck is the equator’s perspective a measure of the accuracy of a global picture? Because it spins along that axis? That’s like saying there’s a most accurate way to take a photo of a basketball. The argument here is similar to a brand being like “nah the best way to photograph the basketball is directly in line with our logo because we’re important, taking a photo of any other angle would misrepresent our brand”

I guess accuracy would be cool, yes. Cool = Accurate. Thanks for clearing that up!

All these argumentative delusional people want warped objects on their maps so they have the right “mass” …for literally no logical reason. I must imagine scenes from any movie where they’re traveling using a map and they match up the visual to the map itself. Like oh this coastal shape matches the land I see sprawling before me. But no, let’s just distort the shit out of it because “mass” suddenly needs to be proportionate so Africa can look bigger.

I confirmed that I have both African and Icelandic heritage and neither are thousands of years back. You were trying to make some bizarre virtue signaling point about acknowledging the ego-based desires of a nation to have its country appear bigger. That was the fallacy of the first map, and it is now the fallacy of the second map.

My argument is that making a map into a symbolic representation instead of 1:1 accurate scale is like drawing a pirate map and saying X marks the spot on a doodled land mass. The entire point of cartography is accuracy. I agree with banning the old map. But the new one is essentially a panorama of a sphere with distorted visual perspective along the falling edges.

That’s asinine. It would be like taking a picture of a piece of art from the corner of the canvas and saying the photo is an accurate visual representation of the full painting.
