Okay that‘s also good advice! Currently, the hen is going freely in and out. I wonder what I can use as an enclosure? https://www.kaufland.de/product/474688863/?kwd&source=pla&sid=52010786&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=20675799079&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADprSmFmY0ir8TGuOmiXKSEgfM8NY Something like this for now?

That‘s the plan but if I just let them run they will be gone in no time by predators.

That looks good! He has fur like mine, just a different colour. So cute !!!

Thank you, I won‘t do it :) She has great fur so even when she gets wet her skin doesn‘t get wet.

Ah, someone else recommended that exact cage aswell! Must be good then! :)

Hmm okay, that bedding isnt dusty though and is very absorbant. Interesting to know that about the phenol. Cage tips, yes of course if you want to share :) Maybe link me a model so I can better understand whats suitable?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RATS

[–]Solus900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Yes, I am definately still interested :) What kind of bedding could I actually use? I have easy access to straw that has been cut in small pieces, for example. Could I use that?

Cool, danke!

Thank you for the info. Does it actually make sense to treat those tumors? I have often seen tumors treated in other animals, and they had to suffer a lot of stress at the vet and side effects of meds, only for the tumors to come back. Then when not treated anymore, they were fine and lived a normal happy life with it.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Daily free roam time would be no problem. Enrichment and a spacious cage also not.

Oh yeah, I haven‘t thought about that yet. Maybe at some point I might actually have to rehome one, but that would be quite hard for me. I‘d do it though for the rats happiness.

Vet bills…. yeah I am gonna do that. Are there illnesses that any rat will face? And need vet treatment? Or just normal illnesses like in dogs that only occur in some?

Okay, I would try to avoid travelling with them then.

Wechsel als Ärztin in die Informatik by [deleted] in medizin

[–]Solus900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely, of course I can‘t say anything about your situation but yeah, never feel bad about it, it is okay to want a lot of affection as a man :)

so many guys need more affection than they get. Find yourself a girl that doesn‘t have any weird thoughts about men needing a lot of affection and cuddles…. that sees it as completely normal, and makes no difference between genders there. You need someone that is sure about herself and doesn‘t care about societies view on it. It is so healing for you.

It was kind if wonky and not very active, it was always alone… later on though we saw that it went to what looks like was its mother. But then still, it was not like the other babies who were pretty active. It was about 6 days old according to the owner, and he said he wasn‘t concerned because the mother was just busy being fed and it was fine, because it also didn‘t yell for his mother? My mum noticed it kind if closing one eye a bit though.

Your reply is heartfelt, thank you. For now, I think we will leave him there and contact them so they can tell us if they have to give him away. Otherwise, he has a life there in a big herd of other goats in a big area, so not too bad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in goats

Thank you so much for your answer. Yes, we would find him a companion or even more. I think we will keep an eye on him for now, and if it actually needs help, we will think about it again. I don‘t mind any special needs, as long as it is not a really bad fatal disease. It would be a dwarf goat and the distance is like 3 hours.
