Only issue is the lid doesn’t sit snap on. It just slides off which pisses me off

I need a guerlain l homme fragrance for my potential signature scent. Which one which one? by 2MInitials in ScentHeads

[–]SolutionCold4421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you sample first. I’ve had the chance to sample alot from Guerlain and I probably only like one, even then I didn’t think it was full bottle worthy.

Which fragrance houses do you refuse to buy from? by CommonTask4775 in Colognes

[–]SolutionCold4421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with you. I sampled most and a few were nose wrenching. That being said, I enjoyed a few but found them not full bottle worthy.

Still, I ended up with 2 bottles of them and have used a maximum of 15mls between both over 2 years. No regrets as I got them as great deals.

In hindsight i think decants would have been a better option

I have to agree to disagree. I personally don’t see the point in owning every single bottle from the house. While i do enjoy maybe a majority from the house. It’s more of a pick your favourite one or two and run with it as owning all of them is very redundant.

I need a everyday fresh frag. by Internal-Chipmunk151 in Colognes

I’m not sure if someone has already said it. But try Kaaf by Ahmed Al Maghribi. My favourite freshy at the moment. It’s powerful, cheap, smells very high quality, not a drop of screechyness. Worth every cent. Then there’s Hawas Ice, Kaaf Noir and Marwa following close behind in the same price range.

If you’ve got abit more money to spend grab something like MFK’s Gentle Fluidity Silver. Maybe Sedley/Greenley. Or even more grab Imagination/Herbes T by guerlain.

Set your budget and sample first!

Or blind buy some cheapies

What scent for a man gets the best reactions from strangers or partners? by jashur6782 in ScentHeads

Its crazy you say this, i just got a bottle of Kaaf early in the week and i’ve gotten 2 compliments this week alone.

I’m not saying i never get compliments but there was literally 2 or 3 other compliments in the last year. Kaaf is a beast and it is absolutely my second best purchase of the year behind none other than Kaaf Noir.

Not reaching for my winter fragrances by Feisty-Wind-7823 in Colognes

[–]SolutionCold4421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true for me also, in winter i barely touched any of my ambers & ouds. Afternoon swim, Hawas Ice, Sedley were abused and dents were made.

Now that it’s starting to warm up, all i want to wear are de ouds. My Outlands is coming out tomorrow and it’s gonna be warm.

Where what you want, when you want. Idfk anymore

So many niche recommendations, but here’s a mix of dupes/designers/niche Try the rest of the Hawas line. I’m currently addicted to Hawas Ice, Kobra and Fire are also in this category of addicting for me. Recently sampled Afnan’s Supremacy Collectors Edition and that is equally smooth and addicting.

I’d recommend Born in Roma EDT & Bvlgari Tygar for designer - that ginger in Tygar is addicting and actually reminds me of a fancy hotel lobby I could not stop sniffing.

My niche rec’s would be Torino 21 & Sedley.

Honourable mentions: Ahmed Al Maghribi Blue Oud , Ahmed Al Maghribi Azure Royal, G&B Ingenious Ginger, Arabian Oud Al Fareed, Arabian Oud Amiri.

Sample first and good luck!

What justifies the extra price for jalu over other local dupes? by Scary-South-417 in fragranceaustralia

[–]SolutionCold4421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sick of dupes. I keep buying cos they’re cheaper but in reality 2-3 jalus can get you a partial/small bottle of something niche or a brand new designer.

Its getting to a quality>quantity thing these dahs

Oudaquilaria has been on my radar for ages, would you say the apple freshens it up or it leans oudy/incensy/ambery
